Oh boy!, Fail! Ive been assaulted by an internet meme. I have to say it is an honor, ORLLY?, Yes, RLLY. Anyway, to be serious and maybe helpful, Opium is something you could smoke for a week, then leave alone for a year or more. Wanting to try it just once is just as cool. The first few times... I was in love with the aroma... almost like roses. It also gave you what felt like a very powerful and giggly pot high. No real come down...which is odd in the world of opiates.

Now at 45, the smell makes me ill and I just cant bring myself to smoke it now. Plus I am disabled with an inoperable spinal tumor so I take a ton of opiates/opioids. That likely contributes to my lessened love of it. I have a big chunk of it I got back in August, and It is likely to stay a big chunk.

One item Id mention that was out there in the 70s was opium soaked weed that was soaked in what is called "early water" which is a by product of heroin production. It was unevenly laced and could be lethal in the case of there being a more opium concentrated in a bud or area on the given bundle of plants.

Old school dark hash like Temple Ball is kneaded with opium to soften the material. I don't know if there is any opium residue on the final product You might not be able to tell just by looking at the hash if it contains Opium. The Dark Hash sold in Coffee Shops may be processed without Opium, who knows?

Calling bullshit on this entire thread. There is no opium in dark hash. If there were it 's cost would be astronomical. Repeated pressing is what make hash dark and squidgy (as the trichromes release their oil). Don't believe me? Next time you have some blond polm or rusty moroccan put it in a small plastic baggie (or two), put it in your shoe and walk around on if for a day...you will end up with sticky, pliable, black (not opiated) hash. No less authority as Nol van Shaik of the Willie Wortels empire has confirmed this. it is an old wife's tale.
