Indica v Sativa

Post by Beezerk »

I'm off to Amsterdam today and I have a quick question about types of weed.

My mate prefers the indica types (head in your boots stoned) where as I prefer the sativa varieties (more high than stoned), have I got them the right way around? :D

What varieties should I keep an eye out for in the Dam?

I had a huge toke on a joint on Wednesday and I was laid out in the car park outside our apartment block, I don't want that to happen over there
:P

there are many good threads in the travelogues section...

good sativas according to some reports:

-super silver haze (mellow yellow)
-super lemon haze (ben?)
-hawaiian snow (greenhouse)
-chocolope (grey area, greenplace, amnesia....)
-equatorial sativa or quasar haze or quaze (grey area, barneys, bluebird...)
-neville haze (de kuil)
-G13xhaze (barneys...)
-amnesia haze (amnesia?)

you will find a lot more in the travelogues section (...with pics)!!!

Stick to the hazes and u will enjoy it more then. After u get used to them then u can always try others.
As for specific strains, i would check a couple of the recent trip reports for the most up to date deals and availabilities.

Hazes are not all if any pure sativas and will kick your butt proper IMO and its questionable wether Quaze is pure sativa (anymore or even was). Mexican Haze is the only one of these i have had that gave me a burst of energy.

Look them up on google and you will see they have Indicas in them and are MOSTLY SATIVA DOMINANT

light smoke i would go for the cheaper skunk strains like Eco skunk, and Amnesia skunk maybe even white smurf, orange Bud.

My opinion shoot me down if you wish, but i will still have the same opinion after my next 50 trips 8)

unless we find an honest talking pure sativa, we may wont ever be sure :D
just kidding...

Beezerk was asking for strains that make you high without a couchlock or getting sleepy i think, so the haze hybrids are the choice imo

sorry for calling it sativas though :) you know...

whats your best skunk? oh i have some nice sativas! show me that kush!

true of course but "mostly sativas" also get me more high than stoned usually...

I would say that chocolope is more indica-dominant to me. It has the super-dense bud structure and it's a very thumpy high.

The hazes will make you happy, and they are just jaw-droppingly good. My favorite is the Amnesia Haze (very sensual) from most places.

If you are looking for a mostly sativa stone that is just a bit stronger you should consider some laughing buddah. it's a fun smoke. Rokerij III had some good the other day at 9e/g.

I will also second Bajsoe's Orange Bud. It's nicely energetic and well rounded. Won't kill you or lock you down so it's nice for day time. Plus, his bud just looks good and it's really nicely cured. The Orange Bud is inexpensive to boot at 6-7e/g. (Tell your friend to go for the bas special. Great indica-dominant smoke.)

And do it in a recommended establishment. Go to Bssjoes or something I guess

But how would you guys recommend one go about experiencing first hand the difference between Sativa and Indica?
