Ill probably be slated for this but hey its just my opinion and I wanted to see if anyone else feels the same as me or if I'm on my own on this one.

Was in the dam back in june and was expectin the weed to be sooo superioir to what we get here in UK, but I was slightly dissapointed to be truthful. I can't put my finger on what it was but I just didn't get what I was hopin for, I feel a lot of the green I tried either wasn't cured properly and also a lot of the strains tasted the same. I think the best bit I smoked was blue cheese from bluebird and also the cheese from the grey area. I also noticed that the buds were not very crystaly at all but when broken up and looked at inside they were much more crystals, maybe a sign of tumbled weed.

Also the other stand out smoke for me was some ssh given to me by james in basjoes, I nagged him for some ssh and at first he said he didn't have any but aftert I made a few purchases he went into the back shop and brought me out a killer bud with exteme amount of crystals and also very sticky.

This has not put me off amsterdam at all, I still love the place and the choice is great with none of the problems and paranoia of smoking back home. I just want to see if other people know what I'm getting at. I don't want to put off other people planning trips to the dam either as I say its a blast.

i have not experienced the same but according to this website http://www.watwiljijmetwiet.nl/Informat ... altes.aspx the average thc percentage is about 16% now although it was 20,4% in average in 2004

I am right there with you r3l3ntless. In my 6 trips I have noticed the same thing. About 80% of the weed I have bought has looked exactly the same - just as some of the bud pics posted here by ACDers.

And all of it looks like it has been shaken. I'm no rookie either. I have been smoking for 25 years and growing for 10 years. But it won't keep me from coming back.

i agree totally as well been 18 times and found a good 60% of smoke doesnt live up to the standard i expect but the other 40% is near perfection. i do spend a whole day collecting my favorite skunks and solids go to Harlem anywhere to get the best (must admit this usually means miles ans miles of walking) but is well worth it. i do spend alot of time researching whats good that way i know what im getting before i go and found i get much better results that way. Big Thanks to all here for that

I think it deppens on the shops you go to tbh. If you go to the right shops, use your eyes and nose when choosing you will get good buds. If you go into the wrong shops, or fall fail to the name game you will have problems in scoring good buds.

Thanks for the replies, when buying weed whether it be in the dam or uk I always use me eyes and smell first before checking the bud.I never went into any touristy shop, did my research before hand and picked all the good spots and believe me I know a kick ass bit of weed when I see and smell it.

I just think the best weed I have ever smoked was here in the uk and not in the dam. I just wish we had the sme laws and not criminalised for smoking.

With regards the tumbling I think most was but hey its all about the euros baby.

I think in the States and the UK that the majority of weed you get is indica dominant...yet when you get to the 'dam, all of the high dollar(and supposedly superior) weed is sativa dominant. If used to an indica dominant stone people are often initially unhappy with the stone of the sativas...which makes sense because you don't get stoned, but high. A very different feeling. This may explain why the cheese was your favorite smoke of the trip....I'd bet it got you "stoned"...just like your used to.

Also, if you get "tumbled" weed...stop by the Grey Area and purchase a gram of grey mist crystals. Guaranteed to fix your tumbled weed...

It all boils down to where you go i guess,Yea they are some dumps that will take your money & sell you weak rubbish! but you got to keep your ear to the ground in regards to bulk deals/quality & such,Things seem to be changing all the time so being a member of a forum like this one is a good idea!,Unless you just go to barneys & people like that all the time & pay 14/15 Euros for a gram.
