Day 2
What a great fuckin' day!! Excuse my language please, but it was truly such an amazing day. We loved every second of it. Damn...we have to figure out how to relocate *shaking head*. Anyway...
So we started our day off by taking our usual route to CS via the train from Schipol. We were hungry as hell so we got a muffin from Starbucks of all places

It was a decent representation of what a Lemon Poppyseed muffin should be I suppose. After grabbing the muffin, we decided that since it's freakin' mid-afternoon we should eat lunch/breakfast....well, lunch. Then I remembered...BURGER BAR! Boner...damn you, man...that place is so good it's evil! We've already decided we have to get a burger from there again. Seriously...amazing fuckin' burgers.
Full on burgers that were so good we're convinced Satan made them we walked right past
Coffeeshop Ben. I remembered that TC had recommended the Lemon Haze so we thought, "Why not?". Stepping through the door you realize this place is TINY. My fiance got ID'd...whatever *shrug*. She looks damn young I suppose. We didn't mind being carded at all...but the female budtender was quite unfriendly and treated us like we were bothering her. Wouldn't sell half grams and all their pre-rolls weren't even close to what we wanted. Took a look and sniff of the Lemon Haze and was disappointed, unfortunately. We decided to skip purchasing there as we're not going to spend a ton more on gear and this place just bothered us.
Putting
Ben behind us, we decided to stroll through the Jordaan and look for
Grey Area and
Amnesia. GA was packed...as one would expect on a Saturday so we decided we'll come back during the week. Fortunately,
Amnesia is right around the corner and up the block.

This place was also pretty full but we were determined to get some quality gear. The interior of the shop is actually really nice. We loved the decor and the general feeling of the place. I'd like to come back and chill in there when it's not so busy. They wouldn't let us take a pic of the menu...possibly because of how packed it was *shrug*. After perusing it I kept coming back to the Pink Kush. Upon mentioned it out loud, another American about 10 feet away spun around and gave us the thumbs up sign. "I REALLY like the Pink Kush, man. You can't go wrong!", he told us. I asked to see it and as soon as my nose got a foot away from the bin I almost had an orgasm. It...smelled...UNBELIEVABLE. Hold on...I have to go smell it again.........okay, damn it. We have to hit that soon. Anyway, here's a pic:

It was 14e/g and I can't praise it enough for it's smell and texture. It is Kushariffic....I can't wait to taste it!! I'm sure we'll be knocked out so I decided to post this up beforehand
We also purchased a mild preroll which honestly was garbage. More on that later.
So we made our purchases at
Amnesia and decided to stroll down to the Leidseplein and look for the boat tours and such. We located the Blue Boat tours which we're going to book an evening cruise on sometime during the week.
After finding the tour, we decided to cross the street and stroll around the Vondelpark. The park was packed as well but was still beautiful and had some really cool things going on. We stopped and watched a duo playing the guitar and violin under a tram bridge and it was excellent. Great acoustics there. After listening for a bit we found an empty bench overlooking a pond with some ducks lazily swimming around. We pulled our preroll out that we got at
Amnesia. It was about 90% tobacco and gave us only the subsequent tobacco buzz. Horrible. My fiance and I both dislike tobacco so we were disappointed...but we took responsibility for the experiment as I
did ask for a mild preroll. It SURE was

"Wait a sec! We brought the rest of that Silver Pearl joint right?". YES. WE. DID! I did take a few hits off it at the hotel during the night to try and sleep so I wasn't scared to hit it here at the park. We lit that badboy up and took a good 4-6 hits a piece. Again, it tasted awesome and was a great hazy high. This time...no whiteout

Here's a pic of what's left of the SP:

At 10e/g it's a steal, IMO. After we upped our tolerance a bit the first day the SP didn't punch me in the face like the first time but it's still quite strong. As I said before, it's a nice hazy head high which crept down a bit to my shoulders. Speaking of creeping...the SP is just that. We took our 5 hits or so and were thinking, "Geez...did we build a tolerance that fast??". Five minutes later...we were soaring. It made us jump off the bench and exclaim, "We need frites!!".
On the way out of the park we spotted this awesome old high school which seems to be a hostel now:

We loved to just look at this place and found it quite interesting. Onward to food!
I really wanted to find that frite place that Boner is always talking about so we headed for
Dampkring as it's just up the street...or so I thought. We couldn't find it anywhere!! Boner, if you fill me in that'd be great becuase we cirlced that area for a good half hour or so with no success. We were still pretty baked but were completely functional as well. So we decided to grab a falafel for dinner instead. It was actually really good! It was my first ever and I was fairly impressed for something that's so chain-like.
After eating, it was started to get dark so we decided to try and make our back to CS. Damn...this place can get confusing! We got turned around a few times but eventually I just decided, "Look, the sun is going down over there so this has to be North. Let's go!"

Walking around like this has become just way too much fun. And it also helps us run unexpectedly run in to places like this:

Basjoes! We looked in the window and it was STILL packed...at almost 10pm! James was working so I was QUITE tempted to stop in and make a purchase...but we're going to have trouble finishing what we have, unfortunately. Maybe tommorow.......
After passing
Basjoes, we kept heading North and ended up right in front of CS! What an amazing place to be lost in

hippy mentioned yesterday that the layout is great because you just keep going in circles...and it works! We headed all the way down to the train for Schipol and decided to grab some groceris from the AH for breakfast and snacks as well.
Now we're back, it's late as hell and I'm not all that tired *sigh*. Hmm....where's that Pink Kush?
One last pic from our adventure today. Whilst flying on the SP, we walked through a square somewhere and thought that this was just too damn cool for school:

OH...and here's a pic of the Cheese. Sorry for the bad pic...and the Cheese got a little smushed in the bag

Ok...NOW I'm done. Can't wait for tomorrow!!
EDIT: For some reason I can't get the image tags to work...hmm. I hope you don't mind clicking for pictures *sigh*.
EDIT 2: Damn! I forgot to put this picture up. We bought a couple of lighters our very first day and I personally pick this one:

I thought it was PERFECT because the cow is out cold with his legs in the air...JUST LIKE I WAS AT
HGF THE FIRST DAY!! LMAO! It couldn't have been more perfect...and it was a bit prophetic, if I do say so myself
