Cannabis Cup - no trouble PLEASE!

I go to cup every year, AND I know all about and mostly agree with all the things people HATE about the cup and the scene there etc.... BUT I still like to go and I have a good time my own way

I see there are a couple people here who go but no big group or anything. I like to share videos and pictures and see other people's experiences etc. and thats kinda my BASIC question... is there a group on any website of people who regularly go to cup and share stuff like this etc? anybody wanna START something like that?

I dont wanna cause any trouble or a big debate over the pros and cons of the cup... been there done that... I know all the shitty things but I still find a way to have a good time, and I like to share the media stuff and stories etc, its something I enjoy and seems like most people I meet enjoy it too.

I have been a member of a couple small groups, and 1 was really sweet like 2 years ago, I met a bunch of people even a couple nice girls and a couple people I am still friends with at home. Now that site/group is kinda uncool or whatever and thus kinda dead but if there isn't anything better I suggest starting up/taking over the old group - I could post a link if you want to. OR WE COULD MAKE SOMETHING NEW...

anyone into this?

I've never gone to the cup but it seems to me that lots and lots of members here go to it as often as possible if not every year. It seems to be a tradition for many people

I don't think there will be any trouble discussing such matters....

just my thoughts

I go but i dont go if thats makes sence,I go during that time of the year for the vibe & such but i dont pay to get into the EXPO event,I would rather spend the 100 euros on other things frankly

Start a thread and see if Lemming will sticky it, I'm not into the whole cup thing but end of the day its a bunch of stoners getting stoned so it cant be all bad.

I was a judge in 1995, it was fun. For personal reasons I'm in the Netherlands in November anyway. I spend most if not all of the cup in Haarlem.

When you have firm dates for your trip, get them to me.

from the looks of the poll some of you want something new and some are into restarting the old group... so I thought I would post this here

I was kinda hopin to get something going where we can share cannabis cup specific media a little better. like for example, one of the things I love to do is watch all the cup videos ESPECIALLY the ones made by High Times, the seed companies and the breeders etc... just wishin there was more sharin of behind the scenes type videos. I find watching some of them to be VERY interesting and FUN!

its like boner said, Im sure it cant be bad with all the stoners. I prefer going during 420. Not as crowded but the same vibe.

a sticky post would be a great start, but all the same what I had in mind can't really be done in just 1 thread.

maybe a new topic in the forum "CANNABIS CUP AND OTHER EVENTS" or something might be more applicable for sharing media etc... but I don't know if a noob like me should really be suggesting something like that to the group already

BUT, from the poll seems like people are kinda into making something...
seems like u all want something NEW also

any ideas? seriously?

I think people would kinda need something like the old MySpace group (or a new forum topic) so pictures and videos can be posted/embedded rather easy, and a good collection of them could be built up rather quickly, but still it would be easy enough to search thru it for members/non-members from all over the world, and accessable on mobile media devices (websites like facebook/twitter/myspace/youtube all work fairly well this way)

I am glad to see there are at least a couple other people who like the idea

looky what I found... this is pretty much exactly what I wanted... but its not for Cannabis Cup, its for OUR event here in CA, we had the first one ever this year... THCExpo

I made some stuff here already and its pretty much WIDE open....
still would be nice to have something geared toward HTCC like this but hey, its only been 22year... I guess I shouldnt hold my breath

but check this place out and "join the community" its a social networking site with a great picture sharing and video sharing angle. Its pretty freakin sweet looking, can't wait till it gets big
