Thanks, JMey.
Seems like a great board. I have been browsing it for many hours and I have not seen any dramas on snarks. Very refreshing.

Welcome!
And there actually
is some occaisonal drama...but certainly nothing to get worried about
Good to see another member stateside. I recently finished a travel report in the "Travelouges" section that you could check out for a few tips if you'd like. Plenty of info all over the place, though

Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome
M4M, I did read your travelogue. Good reading, and very informative. I think I most appreciated your writing about your whiteout experience. I only get to smoke what passes for bud about once every other week, so my tolerance will be low and I will learn from your experience

Serious? The med scene has brought some killer buds out in Colorado. Look around my friend, it's all around you. If you don't have your card, you should at least make friends with someone who does.

Lol...awesomes!
Since you're traveling even farther than I had to I'd definitely recommend trying your best to sleep on the plane ride over the Atlantic. Grab a couple of Tylenol PMs or something and get one of those damn $7 cocktails (I went with Vodka and Sprite)...then down those puppies! I certainly will be going this route on the next flight over.
Also, eat as much as your comfortable with...and then eat a little more. If at all possible, take a nap at your hotel (as I'm sure you're arriving in the early morning) and then head out in to the city in the afternoon. Grab a couple of candy bars at one of the MANY souvenir shops/markets and then head down to
Basjoe. When we were there they had Thai (or was it Jamaican?) on the menu. Either one would be an extremely good introductory smoke and is quite affordable (around €5/g I believe). Roll that up, or pack a bowl, and grab a seat outside in front so you can gaze at the gorgeous canal across from you.
OH, and grab a grinder from one of the souvenir shops as well. We got a plastic one for around €4 and it worked beautifully (it even made a bit of hash for us). You WILL need one as a lot of the gear in the 'dam is wonderfully sticky

I know, geoffkk. I don't buy any more, because when I buy, I'll smoke it until it's gone. It's not pretty. So I limit myself to when I am with my bud with buds. Which is about every other week. Any other than that, I would get nothing done at all. Hehehe.
And thanks M4M... you are an inspiration.
