Jet Lag

OK, so I'm going to be landing at Schipol on a Friday at 0730. Because of the time zones and the jet, my body will think it is 2330, though. And I will have easily have been up for 17 hours at that point.

I have to figure a rational person would get some sleep, though, and face the day fresh and well-rested. But I am not rational by any means.

What would YOU do (or recommend?) What are the recommendations to deal with jet lag?

EDIT: I just realize I probably won't be able to check in until at least noon. So I have to figure I'm going to have to drop off my bags and then come back to check in about noon. So the point is moot. I'll almost certainly end up checking in way short of sleep and baked. I hope they understand.

Its Amsterdam kel, they will understand! Go drop your bags off bud, you never know they may let you check in early.

My advice for jet lag shouldn't be taken by everyone. I would start heavy drinking. Score your buds then take them to Kadiskys bar, drink and smoke the day away... As soon as the sun hits bed, so do you...

you did ask...

have fun!

Try adjusting to the time change a day or two before you leave - set your inner clock ahead.

And a xanax and some wine always helps me crash through some of the overnight flight.

i have a similar situation when i get to amsterdam.

i arrive at 7:00 AM amsterdam time and it will really be like 1 AM where im from. so yeah very similar.

on my past trips i have always been able to check in right away except for once. try calling ahead and advising them that you will be checking in early and if they could try and have a room ready for you.

personally i have never slept when i got there. i always go out and get something to eat, smoke a few j's and start my day. try to sleep as much as you can on the plane and then you wont have to sleep when you are in amsterdam.

if anything just have a quick power nap for a few hours and shower up and get out there... in fact i always find a good shower either way helps freshen you up and more or less wake your ass up.

soo i guess what im saying is fuck sleep.. your in amsterdam

Last trip I stayed up the night before and pushed all the way through my flight leaving that evening. Once I ate and took a couple of benadryl I was able to get about 6 hours of sleep.

Peace,
Balou

PS-A couple of beers on the plane wouldn't hurt either

I'd advise Lots of energy drinks and caffine mixed with some strong sativa's and you should be alright
