Wow what a trip!

Post by Beezerk »

Got back yesterday lunchtime from The Dam, what a great place, my friend and I have already sworn to go back this year :D

The ferry trip (from Newcastle) was ok, banging hangover on the Friday morning, we hadn't booked a coach transfer into Adam so we walked for ages trying to find a train or bus. We eventually went into a copshop who told us there was a hydrofoil boat thing just down the road which would take us to the main station.
Anyway, finally arrived, dropped bags of at hotel (Kraspinsky or summat right on Dam Square) but couldn't check in until 3.30

Fisrt port of call was probably the nearest, Rick's Cafe, we got a couple of grams of Bubblegum to start the ball rolling. We were surprised how much we got (hence getting 2g). The first joint hit us both like a tornado, within 2 mins my head was on the table, my mind thinking "I'm going to shat myself, pi$$ myself and puke up all at the same time...but I don't really care". Thankfully I did none of the above and I came round after a few mins. My mate fared worse, he felt waves of "the awfulness" all afternoon. We had a few beers, finally got into our room and had a snooze.
Later we went back out and headed West to Betty Boo, bought some great Kushage and relaxed outside. This time we felt great, we both agreed it was the amount of alcohol (and joints  ) the night before which had given us the funny turn.
Then off to Amnesia, a great place so chilled out we nearly melted into the chairs outside. We bought a gram of Laughing Buddha and sparked up. Another great buzz although we weren't giggling away like I thought we would be.
We then "strolled" over to Greenhouse Centrum (across from Ricks Cafe) and bought a gram of beautiful OG Haze, this stuff was nice, real nice.
We had a waxing joint of OG Haze on Dam Square before retiring for the evening.

On Saturday we mainly used up some of our stash down at that big park but in the evening we headed for Dampkring and bought what I thought was the best weed of the trip, the Cambodian Haze. An instant uplift and instead of swaying around for 5 mins we headed straight off to The Waterhole to watch a couple of bands. While inside there we whacked up a nice pure weed joint with the Cambodian Haze, that one really hit the spot 8)
Back on Dam Square, we knocked up a beauty with loads of the Bubblegum, this one had us crawling the walls of our room while we listened to The Doors.......damn right :D

Sunday, another couple of pints, then over to The Doors for some very nice Morrison Haze (my mates favourite), we walked around Adam like a couple of eejits but we were in the zone, later we called in at the Greenhouse again for some NYC Diesel, had a nice joint of this although it tasted a bit "petrolly" which is ironic I suppose. Got a nice high from it though. More beer and joints plus one huge one for bedtime.

We used up the last of our rations on the ferry home which made for an interesting experience

I'd say my favourite coffeeshop was Amnesia just for it's quiet location and chilled atmosphere however the Greenhouse was also nice although the old bald guy was a bit serious.
Best weed for me would be the Cambodian Haze, my pal reckons Morrison Haze.

I bought some seeds from Sensi Seeds so I can try a bit of homegrown

Blimey, I've rambled on a bit  :D

Most definitely, we'd had a couple of nice ones an hour before but this stuff gave me an instant lift. It was the most expensive of the stuff we bought at 13E a gram but it was well worth it.

Out of interest, is there an easier way to get from the ferry port to Amsterdam than that damn boat?

the first nycd i bought was 2005 in dampkring, and it smelled bitter and earthy, but tasted very lemony and a bit sour, by that time i heard of somas nycd version should taste like grapefruits, and that matched pretty well

Nice report! Thanks! :)

It's also nice to hear that other people have a bit of hiccup when sparking the first pure 'dam joint ;)

The first joint wasn't a pure one though :o

I noticed a few times when I was completely blitzed, I'd get a couple of knowing nods or winks from people, obviously seeing a fellow "stoner brother" with his legs in a tangle :D

Thanks mate but it's the DFDS ferry port at Ijmuiden, I've had a look and there seems to be very little in the way of transport to and from there.
Next time I'll not be such a tight arsed git and purchase coach transfer beforehand
