Hi, have seen a lot of videos on the net of previous cups but would like a bit more info please.
So we are thinking of going to the cup this year ( I believe in november ) just wondering what we can expect.
1. How long does it last?
2. How is it organised, is it all held in one place or do you have to go round the coffeeshops?
3. Do we have to buy judges passes if so how much and where from?
I take it a lot of places will be giving out free weed is this true? Just want to experince it, would be good, the only thing is its in the winter.
Thanks in advance.

The link given will answer most of your questions. Here's some of what I learned at my first CC last year. First, try to pick up your judge's pass on Saturday or late Sunday afternoon. I showed up on Sunday and had to wait in line for hours, and got snowed on. This year I'll pick it up on Saturday. The expo is not big at all, I guess @ 20 or a little more vendors, most are seed companies, the rest sell growing stuff like plant food, pipes, grow room stuff. You don't need to take smoke to the expo, inside they'll provide you with plenty for free, outside you're on your own. The only coffeeshops that gave me free stuff was Barney's and GreenHouse, I guess they got the money for it. A couple of shops lowered their price by 1 or 2 euros. Not all the shops on the map on HT webpage where on CC, hope they fix that this year. As for the weather, it's cold, wet, it rains, and who knows if it snows. Hope this helps!

3 different areas to explore basically. The EXPO is at a club kinda far from the center of the city, you take a free bus or a cheap metro train. Here you will get free "samples" from many vendors/competitors, mostly free hits of whatever they are trying to promote. Also you can buy all kinds of seeds from all over the world, and other marijuana related stuff, its different every year. They also hold grow seminars and other small things here, also opening and closing ceremonies and this is where you vote. You can also talk with many of the top breeders on some of the slower days, as expo is open for about 4 days. The CONCERTS are held at the Melkweg for the most part, but there are sometimes other parties also at other places.r3l3ntless wrote:2. Then, and this is the big one for most people, they instruct you on how to go to various coffeeshops around the city that have entered to compete in the cup. You can walk, take a bike, or get a ride from the HT vans (if you can find em)
you actually DONT have to buy a pass... but if you want to go to concerts/expo you will need one, and some of the shops only sell their cup entry to judges and other only give the discounts etc, I think you get the idea. They are sold by HT on the website or you can buy them for more money when you get therer3l3ntless wrote:3. Do we have to buy judges passes if so how much and where from?
You can get free hits and stuff at EXPO. BUT... For the LARGE MAJORITY you will only be able to BUY their cannabis cup entry at the coffeeshop, or any other hash/weed they have on the menu etc. Some of the bigger shops offer discounted goodie bags, some give something for free, but most do not. If you want to buy all the cup entries you will spend close to another $1000, and sometimes other strains on the menu look even better than some cup entries... and hash can get real expensiver3l3ntless wrote:I take it a lot of places will be giving out free weed is this true?
