Helpful Books

Post by Miette »

I grabbed one of my mj books off the shelf, and I realized they are getting a little old.

They are all from the late 90's, and I was wondering if there is something out ,that is new, and you guys have some good comments about.

Feel free to tell us if the book was not worth the price that you paid, too. I have definetely seen some books that would fall into that category.

I have:

Marijuana Grower's Handbook: The Indoor High Yield Guide by Ed Rosenthal. 19.95USD

Ed is bit of a mj hero in California. This book is well organized. It is easy to find just what you are looking for either in the table of contents or the index.
There are lots of black and white photos, lots of drawings, and also 8 color photo pages. This is my go-to book when someone asks me a gardening type question. 261 pages.

How to Grow the Finest Marijuana Indoors Under Lights compiled by Joseph Carver 22.95USD

This book answers a lot of questions about optimizing conditions for your plants - micro-nutrients, and the like. That said, it was not worth the money I paid for it. It has more color photographs than Ed's book, which, I believe, is what bumped up the price. But this is a very slim volume with a font size found in those large-print library books. 128 pages.

Marijuana Flower Forcing by Tom Flowers16.95USD

Just as the title indicates, this book focuses in on the BUD. A lot of written information - not quite so many photos - an insert of 4 pages of color photos. The writer is based in Berkeley, California, so some of the information is very specific to Northern California. This book is really dry and a bit technical. I get a sense that it is a bit outdated by now. 121 pages.
