Good coffeeshops around the Brouwersgracht area?

Post by Benedict »

Hey Everyone,

Me and my fiance are renting a house boat in the Brouwersgracht area. Just wanted to see if anybody knew any good coffeeshops or places to eat around that area.
Will be there from the 2nd till the 9th of september, any guesses on the weather as well?

Benedict.

they have a nice haze selection, i tried the afghan haze last time and i'd like to investigate that strain further. As I recall I had difficulty deciding tbh and thats the way i like it.

Lol. Go to the Haarlemmerstraat, it's a MINUSCULE walk.

Weather: sunny or rainy. About 70 degrees

Seconding Siberie. One of my favorites for atmosphere and a big cuppa joe. They have the best I've found in the Dam.

barneys uptown on haarlemerstraat has a decent breakfast and some other food... you can also smoke a few j's while you wait.

greenhouse lounge also does some food which wasnt bad on my last visit. pretty cool decor as well.

also there is an indian food place called Balraj a little further down. it is also very good.

jays juices on haarlemerstraat is also pretty cool. and they serve bigger sizes as well if you like mix your booze with fresh squeezed juice.

your not really far from anything at that location.

have a great trip

Hey everyone,

Thanks for all the feed back! Must say I'm pretty high just now, just scored some nice fruity weed. :P
You might not know it but we get a constant supply of the good stuff up in Glasgow! :D

Cisco - Just checked your thread and realised I'd read it before. It was you infact that inspired me to check out the burger bar. It is indeed on my list of places to go! Does anyone know if they have anything at all vegetarian on the menu, one of my friends coming along happens to be a veggie. Boo!

Gonna maybe check out the waffle bar too?

Geoffk - I read some of the write ups on Siberie and am kicking myself for not heading down to that end of town last time!
I missed Barneys, De Dampkring, Popeye's, Grey Area, although I did visit a coffeeshop down there that had a fish tank as the floor. Nice weed but poor service. Cannot for the life of me remember the name? Any help?

Cheese - Barneys is a must for me this time. I'm not really a big fan of hash but I am determined to smoke some this time and I heard Barneys is a must. Also I am a big fan of juice so that little juice place sounds great!

Cheers for the help everyone. It's quite good that I've got the laptop to take this time so I'm going to do a travelouge. Hopefully one to match that of Puffpuffgive and M4M. And it means I won't miss stuff.

Oh one last thing. Does anyone know if you can smoke on the canal bikes? Thinking of giving them a try. I was worried that you'd have to take a guide out?
