I was there the middle of March this year. And I have to say that it was actually pleasant. Only need a light jacket,temperatures were around 55-60 degrees during the days. Also I was lucky and it only rained one day out of my five there it that was a light rain,but I do remember a thunder storm on my third night there but it lasted between 1 a.m. until about 5 a.m.
You will also find that things were not crowded as they tend to get in the more summer months.
So my advice to you would be to GO! You will love and and compared to New England at that time you will find it more like spring than winter.
