Excellent work, cisco! Believe it or not I used to help a male friend from jr high build some of his models. I sucked at the building part, but did a better job on the painting. ;-)

your paintwork is in a whole different class....i could never get it THAT good even in 1/35...all the 1/72 died under the fire of my 1st air-rifle as a early teen

brilliant man! what i like about that model is it looks as if its just drove off the battlefield! my best friend's dad is REALLY into models. alot of ww2 planes but also a ton of tanks, vehicles, subs, etc.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Tell the truth dude, what you do is more than an airfix kit :D
Dude customises them with anything that will improve the look. Very talented.
Is that the one you showed me when you had just begun making it?
Endure

damn, those tanks look amazing! that paintwork really gives the impression of old metal that has been in battles, weather, mud...

when I was young I used to like building models too. my dad was crazy about RC airplanes his whole life, so it rubbed off on me a little. I was in good company, my dad was a guru and could build RC airplanes from scratch (no kit). he would make the whole frame, wings etc out of balsawood, like a miniature of the way they made fullsize planes with the ribs etc. to make the outer shell, he would hold the sheets of balsawood over a steaming pot and little by little, bend them to the right shape when the wood is soft.

I remember being really surprised when my dad would fly these planes so high they would be BEHIND the clouds.

Later on we built some little RC boats too. when it came to the hardcore building, woodworking etc, it was mostly dad doing the hard stuff, I was mostly painting and detailing. but later again I got into the military scale models myself, and built a number of helicopters.

good times!!!!
