he prob is member. his name is russel field. hes written a few articles in magazines for models. hes got a ton. hes got like 50-100 tanks,planes, etc on display and a ton of others in boxes. i know he goes to shows and such much like yourself too. i'll try and get my friend(his son) to take pics of his collection and i'll pm it to you.
one of my other childhood friends has or had a very large scale model of the battleship yamato too. was a beast and even had a motor.

I dont mate , although i have been thinking of it ! it helps put things into context some times and i have seen some amazing dioramas ! i was thinking of trying to do one for euro-militaire this year (sept) !
Here is a perfect example of where some figures and terrain can make a real impression !!

Nice one dude cant say i have came accross him , and i buy a shitload of model mags ! (GEEK ALERT)
although only one American model mag ! I really would like to try my hand at doing an article for one of the mags i buy !? its one of my ambition is to get published however i need some better photography skills !!??

Cool wind effect on those camels, yeah I'm thinkin yer challenger placed in a little Iraqi checkpoint or something similar would just set off the paintjob ya did on it.

Cheers dude , im thinking of doing a Normandy scene , an improvised armoured jeep , Bocage in the background and a figure (iv got the fig already he has a NY Yankees cap on ! classic remember the thread bout NY caps as fashion !
Stay tuned i was thinking of taking you all through the building of a model , from the kit , to finish showing all stages in between , detailing etc !
Let me know if any one would be interested ?

when i was a kid i loved these toys called micro machines..specifically the military ones. i always made scenes with them haha.

Loved Micro Machines mate ! including the game that came out for the Ps1
or was it the Sega Mega Drive ?

i still have all my micro machines somewhere. i remember there was a game here for snes/sega i think.

Ok peeps im gonna start a new model for the next show thats coming up i shall post the whole process so here is the model im about to build !
Not a complicated build by any means but if you have been up to your elbows in photo/etch/plastic card for months , you sometimes just need a wee filler project
fire away with any comments

Hey geezer you must be getting a bit excited now for your birfers trip so have a good one and happy happy day for it
. I'll make you a bit green, I've got to nip down to dorset today to look at a motor so I thought I would pop in and visit the tank museum as its right near where I'm going.
Are you going down to Leith to spy the Anthony Gormley installation. I quite like what he does but its not to everyones taste but he does put his art where we can all see it
