Go ahead man if you haven't already done it, you sound cool about it. I think the majority of dogs at borders and on trains are mainly explosives sniffers there days.
Think about it folks, you've been in Amsterdam for a week toking your face off, in coffeeshops and your hotel room, and you must reek of it when you get to customs whether you're carrying or not. how come 90% aren't given a spin. Like RasaLibree says, a few gramms where it dont show. Have a nice one you and the Mrs. smokestaxlitenin.

yeah go for it, take advice of a bunch of stoners. but when you see a normal person on the train roll down thieve sleeve and it says police or douane, enjoy your weekend in jail. And if you are American, the US will know you have been arrested in Europe. So every single time you get on a plane, get ready for the TSA to hassle your ass.

Paris, France....they have drug dealers there. Trust me.

Now listen to me young man, for that is what I presume you are, if you take the time to wander round a few threads you will find that the advice contained within them is more often than not both sound and well considered and given, by a bunch of stoners, with the benefit of great experience.
but when you see a normal person on the train
I and every one I know is a normal person, what are you talking about man? That is why we don't grow flowers on our heads when we see a uniform.

My advice to you had you suggested the same escapade would have been a most certain NO dont do it, also for our mate seanlyall.

They're out there guys, and they've got our numbers

Peace :)

Normal person=undercover French officer. The have a bright orange police 'sash' around their arm and just as the come to talk to you they roll it down. By normal I meant they do NOT look like cops. I was not referring to anyone here (-:, although I am decidedly abnormal.

And I do see what I call stoner advice here, as in "Go ahead man, its no problem"....from people that do not know what they are talking about (for example, someone said EU borders are like US state borders). And just because someone got away with it once, does not mean this poor guy and his wife will not get caught.

I am passionate about keeping my fellow man out of jail and out of trouble. Who needs to ruin a nice trip to Europe over 3 grams of weed?

BTW, I am 40 (mentioned above) and have talked my way out of a few things with the Flics (cops) in Paris, but if you don't speak French forget about. French cops have nothing against Americans, but like all cops they get shifty when you ignore their laws.

Again, I am just trying to keep people safe. I ride the Amsterdam-Paris train regularly and have seen people busted.

peace

Marco, cool man :)

Sorry guys, I see I am being a pompous and grumpy old man and I should behave. You speak wise words marco, a day trip Paris = Amsterdam does have to put you into a somewhat higher category of risk with customs.
I just figured from what smokestax wrote that he and his good lady will look pretty normal (sorry man) and I think the customs, even in France have to give it a bit of thought before they ask you to step out of your underwear. Furtunately I have no recent experience of that so I cant say.

But hey man, lifes for living :)

Peace
