Gold Seal hash and haze question?

Post by Baldylocks »

The standard of hash in the uk is pretty poor, but when i younger i remember smoking some really nice gold seal and red leb.

If there are any older smokers who remember gold seal and can compare it to current hashes, what is nearest thing in amsterdam at the moment. I have never seen it on any menus.

Also i bought some red leb last trip. but it was very old and dry anybody know any shops selling any leb worth buying at the moment.

Can someone recommend a good haze for a lightweight smoker, i want the sativa high but like i say i am a bit of a light weight. ( not interested
in the imported thai etc, have tried before but always found it to be very
old and dry)

Mazar e Sharrif is the gold seal: http://www.cannabisphotography.com/deta ... d=&pid=481

Cant help with the Red Leb and I understand what you're saying about Thai being old & dry but I'd take a look at the thai from Katsu, I'm not a big sativa smoker myself but I quite liked the Lemon Haze from Rusland in April.

Wow, I can remember scoring smudges of goldseal as a kid, before Soapbar became the 'norm'... I have picked up some nice Mazer in Amsterdam since...

Sounds to me like you need to get yourself down to Yo Yo's for a selection of there 'fresh' (not old and dry) organic outdoor buds... Very pleasant gentle smokes...

try the quaze, quazar haze, dr grinspoon or equatorial sativa. all the same and it hardly makes you stoned.

Maz is on the katsu menu from march http://www.black-arts.org/~reatta/Menus ... Sinner.jpg

I dont know much about hash TBH as i am more a weed and ICE kinda guy, but i remember the Gold seal when i was a kid very well, also red seal we used to get, and good quality soapbar (GONE ARE THEM DAYS).

Haze wise the mexican @ Dampkring was as mellow as it gets for me although it got my legs going for a few hours. 8)

For an admitted lightweight I wouldn't recommend going straight to something like Quaze or Pure Equatorial. The Orange Bud at Basjoe would likely be a better place to start. It's a great up high without being at all racy. It's also pretty affordable...I'm pretty sure it was like €8/g.

If you insist on a strong sativa I'd have to recommend Chocolope. Grey Area's was out of this world a couple of weeks ago.

Haven't tried any "official" gold-seal BUT I have some real black Afghani back in the day (early '80's that is)...that being said, the AFGHANI ICE from DOORS was THE best Afghan hasj I've had since, well, since...ever?

60 days and counting! Oct 30 - Nov 6...

Gold Seal Afghan is in my opinion a nice sweet dark hash taste. Not too sure on the best place for it tho.

If you fancy something with a bit more kick, I recommend the Nepalese Temple Ball from Styx. Muc the same, but nicer flavour and texture. Stronger too I would say.

Maybe 4-5 years ago a friend of mine had some black Hash with a Gold Stemp on it... there was writtten something like Mazar I Sharif... It had a great head high... It was one of the best hashes I ever saw in Germany...

I tried black Afghaan (4,50€/g) from Coffeeshop Smoky in Maastricht and it had a gold stemp on it, too... the Quality was ok but not like the one I saw in Germany...

I ask me if it is healthy to smoke the gold print?

I remember gold seal well. I also remember the police confiscating 1/2oz from me on the way to Glastonbury!

It was always very nice. Very smooth.
