I know its still months away but i'm already daydreaming about my trip. I haven't been for over 2 years and as I gather a few things have changed in that time(smoking and shroom ban). I'm really excited about my trip and I'm wondering how these changes will affect my experience. I prefer to have at least a bit of tobacco in my spliffs and I'm not sure how much of a pain its gonna be and what can I say about no mushrooms? I've heard various stories that the shrooms are still available if your subtle and or lucky. I guess we'll see what happens. One thing for sure is that I'm going to have a great time regardless of how these two minor details pan out. There are so many coffeeshops i'm looking foward to re-visiting and a few I've been meaning to check out. I'd love to hear you recomendations of weeds/coffeeshops and if anyones been recently, hiw did the smoking and shroom ban affect you? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Peace and Happy smoking

Obviously I know I already asked this question but I would really appreciate anyones recent experiences of amsterdam with regards to the changes in law with smoking and mushrooms. I haven't been for a couple of years and it would be really helpfull to hear your experiences, any advice or tips and generally any recommendations for coffeeshops and strains to buy? Sorry to be repetetive. Thanks Peace

You might not even notice. Resourceful as ever, the Dutch have adapted their shops to accomodate tobacco smoking and in some instances you will hard pressed to see any practical enforcement of the ban. If you use tobacco in your joints, when you have rolled, it is 'de rigueur' to put the cigarette packet or pouch back into your pocket and out of sight. If you are unsure, or if it is clear that the ban is being strictly enforced, then go to the patio or 'tobacco permitted' part of the coffeeshop, if it has one. Many do.
Enjoy your trip !

Aye mate, when me and the girl went in April we didnt have any problems at all with the tobacco ban at all
In fact infact theres a bar beside De Kuil<420 Cafe> that actually advertises that you can still smoke ciggies inside if you pay them 3 Euros to put towards fines the goverment gives them

thanks for the info guys, much appreciated. Yet again sounds like another example of Dutch tolerance, if your discrete and respectful almost anything goes. By the way any recommendations of coffee shops or different types of weed? Thanks again guys

First off, we cant talk football, as your an Arsenal fan, and i refuse to talk football to Arsenal fans!!! lol. Welcome to the site, and hope you have a good one
Some shops, like Bluebird and Rusland has tobacco smoking area's inside them.
I would reccomend getting down to Mellow Yellow, and maybe exploring the Albert Cuuypstraat area
