The flight over was a nightmare. I was seated next to an 80 year old Indian woman which sucked becase we had absolutly NOTHING in common, plus, her incessant shifting was constantly driving her elbow into my space and onto my person… I thought the flight would NEVER end.
… but eventually it did. Got lost two times trying to navigate public transportation to the apartment. But made it to meet with the owner's representative to pay the remaining amount and get the keys.
Place is in the Eastern Docklands, which is about a ten minute tram ride to Centraal Station.

I owe you all an explanation.
I have learned from so many of your travelougues, that it has become a matter of duty to add to the collective knowledge.
Things did not go as I had expected in Amsterdam. Nothing tragic, many delights, diversions...
There were things going on, personally, which affected what I was experiencing. And not in an always good way.
I will write about my trip soon. I will say why I did not make the meet and greets and etc.
It was the trip i wanted to take, and as it ended up, it was the trip i NEEDED to take.
Please excuse my cryptic verbiage. It must be written about, if only to help the next pilgrim. And I will. Soon. Just wanted to check in.

I stopped by the Jolly Joker about 2 months back and liked it. The tables next to the big open window are perfect on a nice semi-warm day in late July...the budtender was a peculiar girl, but oh well and no harm...added to the entertainment a little. If the take was a decent selection and price, I'd make it a regular stop when I am there.
