Greetings from the Western U.S.A.

Firstly I'd like to say thanks for all the invaluble information all you guys have provided on this awesome forum. It has really given me some priceless insight into making my trip the best it can be. I'll be going to Amsterdam next spring 2010 (supposed to be this october ) looks like sometime in March since i'll be on break from University. It'll be kind of like a homecoming, if I want to be a dweeb about it, since my Grandma is from Gouda. I'll get the exact dates for flybynite's who's in town as soon as I can so I can meet up with some of you fine people for a smoke. Until then.

Welcome to the form.

I'll be watching for your travel dates.

Maybe while away some time on the Coffeeshop Menus page.

Welcome!

Sorry to hear you're stuck here in the States a bit longer. I definitely know how you feel *sigh*. That kinda blows that you're all the way out West as well.

Hey, at least you have something insanely good to look forward to :D

Thanks for the warm welcome. The only good thing about being out west is all that California weed that comes my way. Really can't wait to get back to Europe and Amsterdam for the first time!!! Always cool to take in culture and a city that's almost 1000 years old. You'd be lucky to find something 150 around here. Til then i'll be lurking the travelouges living vicariously through others.

How not to get hit by a bike

this document may be found in the excellent S G Collins website recommended by FlyByNite for first-time visitors to amsterdam

imho reading this document is the very most important preparation you can do to ensure your own safety in amsterdam traffic, because being hit by a bicycle could ruin your day ...

if you have already read the document, then thanks, but if not, then please please please read before you arrive, and thanks

have a great trip ...
