Had never heard of Priceline before I came on here, so thanks :-)

A friend just got the NH Amsterdam Centre in May for £55 - am quite relieved as she'd booked flights thinking that my other half would be able to get her a cheap NH room and there was nothing on the NH intranet as it's a Bank Holiday weekend apparently !

Life saver....

I just finished a rather long stay at the four star NH Amsterdam Centre on PL NYOP bidding.

A very nice hotel. A great location. A price almost to good to be true.

55 euros all in with tax and fee for a very nice 4 star double room.. Even a smoking room. And it could have been cheaper.

I could have been staying in some 1 or 2 star for that money. I could have but............

I had read the reviews on that hotel. I was prepared to enjoy it. It was better than I expected. As quiet a hotel as I ever stayed in. Could not find a thing to complain about except for a coffee maker that had to be replaced......which was done at once.

IMO you are going to like it a lot. I sure did.

"Thanks buddy"

If you are a smoker then I would put in your request for a smoking room asap. The entire 3rd floor from what I could tell.

Sometimes smoking rooms can be a little rank for me but these were great.

I also asked for a room at the front. Still very quiet unless you had the window open. Even then the noise was not all that bad. Nice view.

And if you are a smoker of the green. I did smell now and then a slight wiff as I walked the halls. And my ashtray was clearly full of 1/2 smoked joints. No one said a neg word.

So not exactly a grass friendly hotel but certainly not a hostile one either.

That's good to know. I had stated at the time of booking that I was after a smoking room, so hopefully they can accomodate the request.

Thanks again.
