It was 06:30 when I took most of those pics, who'd have thought it ever gets that quiet!

This is probably my favorite thread.

Stayed in The Greenhouse Effect for my one and only trip this past April and seeing those early morning Warmoestraat pics brings back such great memories. The wet streets remind me of coming out of the hotel early in the AM after our first night and being confused as hell because of the wet street, as there wasn't a cloud in the sky!

Took us a few days to figure out they must have street cleaners w/ hoses.

Also the one by the Grasshopper is the greatest, as after exiting Centraal Station, walking down Damrak and making the left over the Old Bridge wondering when we would see our first coffeeshop the Chickita's sign was a clear signal that "We've arrived!"

Then Baba appeared and all was right in the world.

After doing much research on this site in prep for the trip I don't think I would've walked into Grasshopper or a Bulldog even if you had a gun to my head.

I did my homework.

Oh, wow...great pics, sir!

Like everyone else, it made me feel a bit "homesick" for the 'dam. Beautiful shots...for sure *sigh*.

We definitely need to stay in an apartment close to the centre next trip so we can get up and experience the early morning. Looks like Heaven :D
