Yeah I thought you were one of the good ones. Maybe he is referring to my post where I'm telling myself I need to be more polite, like you. I know I mock people
First, it was my bad. I meant other Americans on this board. I meant it in a more collective sense, rather than a specific one. I should have wrote it more clearly instead of writing "your replies", which implies that I meant either of you, specifically.

Off the top of my head, I can't recall any specific one that either of you had written.

The piss take of Americans which happens alot in Europe could suspose be irrating to say the least. But before our brothers from across the pond get offended consider this, at least your not English. Americans have been pissing off parts of the world for 50 years, Englands been doing it for hundreds and continuing to do so. So as someone who has had abuse thrown at him for his nationality unfortantly i have no sympathy.

My faveourite quote about america is that America is like a big happy dog that when you enter the room wags his tail and gets excited but unfortantly trashes the places. Similarly the quote i like about England is that living in England must be like being married to a beautiful women, who is extremely dim. Take from that what you like.

I may dis-like american politics at times, but that dosnt mean i dis-like americans. Theres good and bad all over the world, countries borders neither hold in, or prevent the entrance of complete stupidy.

But if you try to get me to drink budweiser, i will murder you with a beer mat.

yea i never understood why people blame the public for their governments stance, apart from vietnam britain has been with the u.s on every issue so it doesn't make sense to me, i never been to u.s (want to go but ain't backing being fingerprinted & retina'd, but will eventually) but my dads been chicago &he said theyr'e the friendliest people hes ever met, thats a city, smalltown u.s must be even friendlier. +nearly all americans ive met are really nice people as were the 1's from here i met over 420, hestia, cattales & twitch

^ if you visit america visit the west coast, nortern california, oregon and washington state(where i live) great weed, friendly layed back people and gorgeous scenery. tons of mountains and lush greenery as well as wildlife.

budweiser sucks ass. id rather drink budweiser/budlight than coors original/coors light though. pabst blue ribbon is cheaper than both and imo is better and thats saying alot. coors light is insanely watery. i'll take a redhook esb or blue moon/widmer any day.

any yes alot of people seem to say bad things about the uk too. some of the things iv heard people say about america cross the lines of being un polite/ mean and go into the realms of being sick. im sure you guys in england have heard some as unsavory things about your country and its not right imo. as said before you can't generalize the feelings about a population on the actions of their government. i remember during the bush administration people couldn't seem to grasp the fact that bush had an approval rating of like 35-40% most of the time.

Yeah the west coast is great. Used to live in Humboldt. My cheap beer of choice is Tecate, but I'd do PBR before Bud anyday.

Back on topic: I think we brew some great micro brews stateside. Granted, if I'm in Europe, I'm going to drink Belgian beer as my first choice. Just not something I can get as easily, though it is becoming easier to get. With that in mind, it might be kinda cool for a non yank to try one of our beers other than Bud. I'm a toker first and foremost, but I love puffing one down on a hot day with a wheat beer.

Looks cloudy, but some of the best beers I've had was this way, as a matter of fact. Label is a bit gay on the bottle, purely from a design insight perspective, btw.

It is cloudy, and yes I agree. The closest to a real Belgian might be Hoegaarden regular, not Grand Cru.

i still have to try leffe. heard nothing but good things about it. love the glasses too. im pretty sure iv tried urquell, i dont remember it jumping out at me though. i dont mind lager but i much prefer an ale/bitter. my fave lager is red stripe in the can or bottle. i personally dont really rate peroni. one beer i find INSANELY overated is corona. my cousins bf pretty much said it all me: whats the deal with people shoving limes in carona bottles? cousins bf: have you ever tried a corona WITHOUT a lime? i just dont see the draw to this stuff but i'll drink it if thats all thats avail. my local market has an excellent beer selection. we also have a store nearby that sells nothing but beer/cider..amazing selection.heres the website.

another lager i like is asahi..imo the japanese make pretty good lager.

Yeah I've had Leffe, can't remember where though. Good stuff. Local bar has Urqeull, and that's a good pilsner, I think. One of my recent Belgian favorites is Saison Dupont, very tasty stuff. I was recently back in MI and hit this place up: http://www.travelerstuba.com/travelersclub_012.htm plenty of choices. I sampled one of these: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2085/5426 as well as: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/287/1094/ That's a nice looking shop there. My local is very small, but the owners love good beer.
