I'm just glad that the people that DID make it had a great 4-20 in Amsterdam.
We WILL be there next year come hell or high water. Have to make up for not being there this year.

Thanks for posting the results DC.
My thoughts:
As a first time participant in the 4/20 festivities, I wasn't sure what to expect,
so I decided not to have any expectations at all. Onward...
I want to recognize and thank Hestia (with a little help from Frank '

' ) for her hard work, enthusiasm, and keeping the party going in spite of the circumstances. On a personal note, I want to thank her for listening to the ramblings of a madman. '' ''
Nes Cafe (DC and Crew), best joint in town, full stop!
Peace.

Thankyou Hestia and crew for "just doing it", y'all were super cool. Keepsakes and souveniers for us all it was wonderful. I was a bit trepidatious (good word huh?) cos I'm chronicly shy and not really any kind of party animal, but it was cool with the schedule 'cos I could do my wandering and dreaming and just keep bumping into people and almost keeping up to speed with the C/S marking. Great stuff.
Quite enjoyed the drive back, absolute breeze through borders etc.

did u find the car parks easy?

These are the websites I use to select parking.
http://www.bereikbaaramsterdam.nl/live/ ... site_id=23
http://www.bereikbaaramsterdam.nl/live/ ... em_id=1053 (the one I use most often)
http://www.iamsterdam.com/en/visiting/visitingportal
Using these sites has enabled me in the past to locate parking that allowed
easy access to the city, and not cost an arm and a leg (6 Euros for 24 hrs).
Those coming from the southwest (Belgium, France, UK, etc.) may find parking closer to their route than traveling to the Arena.
Peace.

Thanks Pauli, piece of cake finding the olympic stadium, and 24euro for 4 days with a return public transport ticket is good value. I actually enjoyed the drive back in particular as it was daytime and I'm only used to seeing the Dutch countryside from a bike saddle. Any way I better go and do a bit of gardening now to to offset my carbon footprint which is probably about UK size 15 after that journey in the Cherokee, which is only a 2.5L but still juicy. Getting a 1998 4.7 Hemi soon but that will have the LPG conversion.
Thanks again matey.
