Coffeeshops. Your First stop?
Coffeeshops. Your First stop?
When you get off the train at central and walk out, whats the first place that you think about?
Mines is Dolphins but because of the location I stop off at Stones Corner first for a smoke, its a great little place (can be crowded), nice atmosphere and the service isn't bad either.
What would be your preference if location was not an issue and whats your first stop if your choice is a little out the way?

like the guy above me depends on my arrival. its usually ealry so depends. if its very early and i land before or around 8 have no luggage trouble and am in amsterdam before 9 its prob damprking 2 or barneys. if its after 9 like usual its usually rokerij or the 420. usually 420 for a pre rolled reefer and a few volcano bags of nevilles.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

I like a lot of others arrive early in Amsterdam (usually) and although Barneys was a firm fav of mine for so many years ( I remember the best Vege breakfast in Amsterdam for under 10 guilders...) I have since vowed never to cross their door again...
My first stop is based on how much quicker my stride becomes the closer I get to Amsterdam. I leave the midlands in slow c h i l l e d mode, hit the airport bar R E L A X E D, but once I have landed on Dutch turf, I AM OFF, and God help anyone who gets in the way (and it’s a long way from the 'cheap-seats' airstand to the fast train to Central).
So the obvious first early morning stop and score is Central Coffeshop. This is my 'wild card' as I always end up buying something I wouldn't usually here. Their menu is great and I always seem to pick up a good 25 euro deal (they are consistently strict about the 5g rule though... boo). I usually take my score round the corner to Coffeeshop 36. I would never dream of scoring here but they have an amazing seat at the far end overlooking the canal and Damrak, huge open window to smoke in...
Basically killing time before I can go stock up and settle in at Homegrown Fantasy... Pure bliss

It all depends on where I'm stopping, if it's nowhere near a coffeeshop I'll normally pop into Central and buy a bag or 2, if I'm stopping near a coffeeshop I either like or like the look of then that'll be my first stop, if it was somewhere I'd choose then it would probably be Paradox.
