Hi folks,

Me and my buddies are heading over from Ireland to the Dam in mid November and I've been surfing this excellent site for some background (my second trip, the other are ex-pats and veterans), I find Geekymonkeys advise excellent but have some questions.

1. Whats the weather like in mid November and is it heavy jackets allround?

2. I love Basjoes, should I get all my smoke there or do you think Mellow Yellow is good too?

3. Are prices uniform or do some good CS have good prices too.

Roll on November

Dude, you will be lucky if it is not raining on any of the days, I would recommend bringing a jacket lol. Im going in November just a week after you are and I will bring my jacket.

Me wearing a jacket is very rare and im up north in the UK! Amsterdam is a wet wet place lol.

On the plus man there is nothing better than seeing Amsterdam all cold and wet when you are inside a Coffeeshop sparking up and drinking a hot chocolate:D

Yeah odds on it will be raining but as seanlyall says the hot chocolates are to die for when weather isn't great ( best 2 coffeeshops i found for hot chocolates were barneys lounge and dampkring 2). hope you and your friends have a great time

hi in my experience it will be freezing with a lazy wind...meaning instead of going around you it goes straight through!!!.Having said that bizarrely its one of my favourite months to go.If you are lucky you will get lovely clear blue skies and lots of frost on the trees it makes the place look great.Like you i am from the north east and coats are a swear word up here but really i would take one or two

Thanks for all the weather info, I reckon the old rain mac is visiting Holland.

I have big plans to cram in lots of grasses in three days but want to be
able to visit museums etc too, last time I was smoking Basjoes Orange Bud and then silver haze, which I found far stronger but was more memorable, what do you suggest for a clear high for walking around and chatting?

thanks again folks

so you want to smoke loads and visit museums i have found that impossible on all my trips unless you pick a coffeeshop near to the museum you want to visit

Rock and Roll, we are all set now with accommodation booked near Palace and my research here has really whetting my appetite. My mates have been smoking constant but ive been out of the loop so I will be easing myself into it via Orange Bud and the Hawaiian Snow recommended here.

I really hope to be able to hit as many strains as possible from a Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, How many joints do you folks say I would get from 1g, rolling pure grass in medium sized joints?

I would appreciate if someone could suggest 6 grasses as a must try, Im not for the knockout grass but the high and hyper strains.

I also want to try a few resins for late night, any suggestions.

thanks again for all your great tips :o

Time ticks by and its just over a month to go, spanner in works with news of Basjoe closed but hopefully its only for holidays. Ive really read and learned alot on this forum and respect out to all the people here who write, take photos and comment.

Ive unfortunately developed a bad chest problem so I really need to avoid Grasses or Hash that causes fits of coughing, you can laugh but im sure some grass opens your chest right up, would anyone be able to advise me on what strains to avoid bigtime.

I smoked Orange Bud before there from Basjoe and it was fine
