Exchange rate

Post by Drugsbunny »

With the £ being so low at the moment almost 1-1 against the euro, its making some people reconsider their trip..

If the £ falls any lower bythe time you pay commision on the exchange you might be getting 98cents for £1 any less than that then your trip is going to be very expensive...

Is the current rate putting anyone off from going or are you reconsidering your trip if the exhcnage rate goes any lower?

Just interested..

DB

Christ sake! I just looked at the rates the now! Last time I went the lowest I got was 1.12 and the last time I looked I was getting 1.08.

Think it will get worse? If im getting below 1euro for a not so mighty £pound then I may have to cancel which would be the worse thing I could think of(besides the rates going up and then getting myself killed the day before I go).
One convenient location... in Africa.

Typical every time I have a trip coming up the exchange rate plummets. Luckily my card limit was doubled so I can just tick up the difference

The exchange rate would never put me off going anywhere. It is what it is, you cant always have the best of deals, tbh we in the UK normally get the better exchange rate anyway

Gentlemen,
I know the current Sterling/Euro rate is to say the least...Shite!
But both myself and my company use these people... https://www.fairfx.com for all our FX requirements. They consistantly offer a better rate than our bank or even the Post Office. I would recomend them without hesitation.
Hope it may be of help to you.

Old School.
