Howdy!

Post by SGawain235 »

Hey, I found the forums a few weeks ago and went ahead and joined up. I'm planning to go to Amsterdam for the first time on April 16-24 to hang out with people, get some ink, do some truffles, and then capping it all off by going to see one of my favorite bands in Oosterhout.

Oh, and planning to vaporize quite a bit of weed. :)

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the April Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

Enjoy

Wow, thank you very, very much. The guide was a really good read. Question. Is kissing someone on a bridge good luck or just a quick way to get your mouth slapped?

welcome to the forum

if you have read the excellent S G Collins website recommended by FlyByNite for first-time visitors to amsterdam, then hopefully you will have read the bit in there about the dangers of bicycles, so that's good

have a great trip ...

Pshaw. I'll be too busy trying to keep up with the Major League Stoners(TM) to even think of such things. That is very low on the priority list. See for yourself.

1. Do not get deported.
2. Do not be "that guy" as much as possible.
3. Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to reenact "Cosmic Banditos"(this is very much linked with 1 and 2, but covers so many bad ideas I can't even sum up.)
....(etc.,etc)
12. Do not end up stranded in a random city in the Netherlands(the smart money is on Oosterhout, but I'm leaving it open).
....(etc.,etc.)
15. Have a good time.
...(etc.,etc.)
28. Kiss a girl on a bridge.

I'd consider it a total win if I could get 1/2 or even 1/3 of my to do list done.
Did you think you'd get rid of me that easily?
