I'm a cheap SOB

Post by chilly1952 »

I've spent many hours in the 420 Cafe with a vaporizer bag in hand looking like a comic book character with nothing to say. I love to vap! (or is it vape??) At home in the good old USA I use a pipe. I've wanted a vaporizer but two things stopped me:
1. I couldn't figure out how to tell the wife I was spending $600.00 + for a Volcano. Hell I was having trouble swallowing that.
2. I don't trust big brother enough to buy one online.

My meager budget of $100.00 left me with only a whip style I saw on the internet as an option … or so I thought. A buddy of mine found a local head shop that sold them for a decent price. He bought a Vapor Brothers whip set-up for $200.00. I tried it and it worked great. He told me they had a cheaper model for around $100.00.

So we, my buddy and I, finally made it to the place with $100.00 cash in my pocket. To my surprise the small shop was rather busy. We found the $100.00 Easy Vap under the glass counter. As we admired it the salesman brought another customer over who was interested in one. Friendly (rude, nosey …) guy that I am I butted into their conversation / sales pitch. As the sales pitch dragged on I asked if they had any in stock. The salesmen checked and said he had one and pulled it out. I told him I’d take it. The other customer took exception, saying he was their first so I bowed to him and he bought it on the spot.

After the guy left the salesman came back to me and said he had the display model he’d sell me for $70.00. He could not find the whip that came with it so he set me up with a much nicer one.

It’s no Volcano but I’m vaping at home and I have $30.00 towards the Volcano fund. Don’t tell the wife.

good you got a vape. have loved vaping since i bought my first vape in like 2007. i to started with whip vape(natural goods digital vape) and then after it got stolen when my house was robbed got a volcano classic for $500 or so. expensive? for sure. but its the best paraphernalia investment iv made. its portable, easy to use, easy to pack, etc. have brought it on two family trips..most recently to cannon beach,or. volcano classics are $500. the $600 or so model your talking about is the digital. the classic does the same thing its just not digital. the digital imo isn't worth it.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.
