UK Drivers license as ID?

I always use my US driver's license in css. A UK dl would most certainly be accepted.
And really, you're an idiot if you carry your passport with you.

What document is required to enter a country? A passport.
What documentation do authorities want as proof of not only who you are, but also that you are authorized to be in their country? A passport.

Not if, but when you are stopped and asked for identification and present only a drivers license, and a photocopy at that, don't be surprised if the authorities laugh at you and take you into custody. And don't whine about how this is unfair, or how you read it on a cannabis website that it is ok to travel without a passport. Some authorities might let it slide, but these will be an exception and not the rule of law.

Everybody, don't be an idiot like the idiot who thinks that anyone carrying their passport is an idiot. Sure would suck to be you when you find out the hard way. What will be the excuse, that someone you never met wrote on a blog that if you did you would be an idiot. Guess what, you became one.
