Swine Flu Vaccinations

In recent weeks we already had the u.k government admitting that the swine flu vaccines are not going to go through the same trials as all vaccines have to go through. everyone whos had it (apart from those with other more serious illnesses, cancer/hiv/weakened immune systems) has gotten over it quicker & with less symptoms than standard influenza, what is the rush to immunise the world? alot of people are sensing a more sinister motive, i will never have it or any other so called vaccines, check out these links if you dont trust the powers that be:

as alot of people probably assumed they are already talking about a shortage here in the usa. to create hype of course. damn drug companies.

Just like Tamiflu is utterly useless, so is the vaccine.

In the 1976 flu pandemic, loads of people died after governments rushed through a vaccine...

Flu is flu, bodies have been fighting virus’s successful for years! Let you body do the talking...

I work in a hospital in New York my state is requiring that all health care workers get the regular flu vac and the H1N1 when its fully available. Screw that Id rather be fired. In the 1970's (Granted before my time) we had a H1N1 flu scare that the Gov mass inoculated people for and the result was Guillain-Barré syndrome. Check it out makes you wonder.

see here they been telling us you cant get both shots cause H1n1 shoot aint ready and could be harmful wit yearly flu shot.

here they dont want ppl goin to the hospitals once the H1N1 is in full fx we ll be gettin NEWSFASHS on TV radio... telling ppl whom think they got the H1N1 where to go and will be mostly be in big hotels where they be treating the sick ppl wit H1N1
they was saying last week that the gouverment is ready for 10 000 s of ppl dieing of this flu just in my province only« nevermind the rest of canada! « where they thinking of 100 000 ppl dead by next summer

I've never taken a flu-shot and routinely get in arguements with people over their effectiveness (which is non-existent).

I mean seriously...you're telling me I should take this shot which actually MAKES me sick so that I don't get sick later?? WTFuggles!?! Ridiculous.

CK...that is an insanely dumb situation, my friend. I can't believe they're allowed to make medical decisions for their employees. Seriously...that's just not right. Are you going to be able to get out of it easily?

thats a common misconception. the elements of influenza in vaccines are either deactivated (dead) or weakened in the case of the nasal spray (they can only develop in the cool temperatures of the nose and not spread to the lungs where the illness needs to develop)

In randomized, blinded studies, where some people get flu shots and others get salt-water shots, the only differences in symptoms was increased soreness in the arm and redness at the injection site among people who got the flu shot. There were no differences in terms of body aches, fever, cough, runny nose or sore throat.

(note refers to flu vaccine not swine flu vaccine)

Of course the vaccine for flu (seasonal or swine) should only be given to those in high risk groups i.e the sick and the elderly.

As for those working in hospitals, unfortunately it is a high risk job in terms of infections and it is due diligence that workers are given vaccines in order to curb the spread of any such illness.

In short flu vaccines are important for those for whom a influenza infection is likely to be a real health risk.

Vaccines in general get a bad press and it is irresponsible journalism that causes this, the majority of articles written on these subjects (especially at times like now) are written by journalists who have no medical background. Health stories should never be reported by a news journalists and should only be handled by specialist medical journatlists who have experience and training in the field.

As an example of this the myth that the MMR vaccine is linked to autism is still widely believed.

i get the seasonal flu shot. if i wasn't mildly asthmatic i wouldn't get it. getting a respiratory flu would be bad for me. so weather it works or doesn't work doesn't matter for me...not willing to take the risk. couldn't care less about all the conspiracy theories going around about seasonal flu vaccine. i wont be getting the swine flu vaccine though...way to dodgy. there was a bill that they were discussing in the state of Massachusetts that said in the event of a wide spread pandemic in their state all people would be required to get the shot or pay $1000 a DAY fine, get quarantined or go to jail. very scary imo. even if it is just discussion.

seaonal flu shots go through vigorous testing before they are approved by the health department (not that i trust a word they say, considering they claim aspartame is safe) but here in the u.k the government has admitted this vaccine wont be put through these tests, also if you look on my 1st link a official is admitting that once people have had the shot they will be fitted with a chipped bracelet which will be able to store personal details & track your every move, if you are caught without 1 you will be arrested & quarantined, this is martial law, something which a lot of conspiracy theorists(i hate that term, makes anyone who doesn't believe the official line crazy & at which point does it stop becoming a theory & actually a conspiracy) have claimed the NWO have planned to do for years.
my grandparents have just had their seasonal flu shot, but ive told them to do a bit more research before having swine flu 1

i was just talking seasonal flu. theres no way im getting the swine flu vaccine right away if at all. unless my neighbors start dropping like flies. theres no proof that swine flu is even worse than standard/seasonal flu.

I dunno...I just really still don't trust them. Personally, I haven't seen them do any good for anyone. And I'm aware that the strain is "dead"...but everyone I know that gets the shots always feel horrible for the next 3 days or so *shrug*. Whether the side effects are mental or physical it still happens.

If the flu is a legitimate danger to your health because of some other situation then I fully agree that you should be vaccinated. If not, I'd absolutely just skip the shot altogether and just be smart and take care of yourself.

iv never felt bad..maybe once in all my years getting flu shots. so i dunno. maybe im in the minority.

Flu has a job to do. To be harsh and blunt, there are way too many people in the world.
