I'm new to this forum; very interesting reading! I especially enjoy the trip reports.
I've never been to Amsterdam, but I think I'll make a point to make a stop for a couple of days on my next trip to Europe.
I've lived here in Hong Kong for 20 years. I was a daily consumer of cannabis products from my mid teens through mid 20's and more or less packed it in after moving to Hong Kong and getting married. About a week ago I had a dream that I was smoking a joint. I've no idea where that came from, but since that day I've become a bit nostalgic thinking back on some of the wonderful herb I used to smoke when I lived in Hawaii, California and the Mid-West.
In due course I'll be posting for recommendations of more laid back coffee shops and strains of herb. Back when I was a regular smoker are preferred the clear Sativa highs from Hawaiian and good Thai to the heavy body stone associated with indicas.
It seems pretty strange to be thinking about the herb after more than a decade.
Greetings from Hong Kong

Thanks for the recommendations, guys.
As far as I know, most of the hash available locally comes from Nepal and is very nice, much nicer than the hash we normally would get in the US back in the 80's, which was often quite dry and blond.
I was feeling a bit nostalgic yesterday so I popped down to get a bit of the Nepali (for the first time in 10+ years). Lovely black stuff with a fantastic spicy aroma. 4 tokes was enough to give me a very nice high which lasted 3+ hours. It's hard for me to compare the quality to the Nepali I used to buy when I was a regular smoker, but the smell and texture was pretty much the same as it was back in late 80's and early 90's.
