Twichaldinho's October09 Trip.

Post by Twichaldinho »

Amsterdam October 09

Tuesday, Oct 13th.

20 minutes early! How the fuck did the pilot manage that? Does it matter?

What’s even better, is the train to Centraal was running 5 minutes late, meaning, by the time my plane should have been landing on the Tarmac, I was already phoning Paul (from Apartment Paul) to tell him we were at Centraal station, and about to walk along to the Apartment. A smoother trip I haven’t experienced.

So, we get onto Haarlemerstraat and start walking. Its about 5:30PM and the area is heaving with people returning from work, doing there shopping, picking up their stashes for the night. We decide to stop in the Dampkring to grab a nice 5 gram sack for the Apartment.
Initially, I enquired about the S.S.H, but the tub was almost empty, and what was left was just shake. When I told the tender I was after 5 grams, and the S.S.H wasn’t gonna cut it, he pulled out the Tub of G13 x Amnesia Haze. Now we were talking. The tub was packed with fat, THC laden nugs. The smell was like a bowl of fruit in a skunks bed.

“ Yes mister budtender, that’s exactly what im after !! “

We settle for 5 grams of this for €65 ( no discount for 5 grams ). This bag was effectively paid for by my Maw ( mum/mom to anyone who isn’t Scottish  ) as she gave me some €’s leftover from her holiday last month. Perfect.
With our herb stash considerably boosted, we continued on our way to meet Paul, and get the Keyes to the crib.

When we eventually got there, Paul was waiting outside the Apartment with a big smile and a friendly handshake.
After a brief chat, and a few pointers from Paul with regards to what was around the area, and how things worked in the Apartment, he split and let us settle in.
Settling in, consisted of rolling up some G13 x Amnesia and making a brew!
It didn’t take long for the G13xAH to have its effect. I found myself zoning in and out of a conversation with Newbinho about where the Sugar and Salt were stored, leading to me putting half a teaspoonful of Salt in my first cup of tea  . Not Pleasant!

With a lovely, Hazy stone, we set out to reacquaint ourselves with Amsterdam. After a stroll along BrewersGracht ( sp) , we were back in the Centrum. It was decided that Homegrown Fantasy was next on the Hit list. I settle on a gram of Silver Pearl for €10 a g.
Image

The silver pearl was a lovely looking bud, draped in sparkly THC. A little harsh on the lungs, only on the exhale mind. A good smoke IMO ( and one I would buy more of )

Soon, we were on the move again, Taking in the sights and sounds of Lekkerland. Finding ourselves at Dam Square, we took a stroll around the corner to Abraxas.
One of my personal faves . I like the layout of the shop, I like how clean it always is, I like the way the staff treat me, and most of all, I like the Pot that they have sold me in the Past. This time, I opt for a bag of Zero, Zero. €10 for 1.18grams.
Image

Kind of tough and brittle when first purchased, however, with a little heat from yer hands, became more pliable and Fudge like in consistency. Not the Best Zero, Zero ive had ( that goes to Papillion ) but a very flavoursome piece of hashish.

It was at this time I suggested we go and check out the re-modelled Resin. Looking exactly the same outside as it did before, its not until you get inside that you realise just how much it has changed.
Image

I opt for the Cheese ( They never had NY Diesel ) when the Tender opened the tub I swear I drooled a little. Big, fat, fox tailed buds of smelly goodness.
One bud in particular caught my eye, weighing in at 2.6 grams and costing €30 it was love at first sight, I proposed, she accepted. I got some peanut M&M’s too  .
Inside the huge smoking room, are some very comfy padded couch type things which run the full length of the Shop. The Awful green lighting is too much though. Turning the flame from yer lighters a pinkie-red colour. The music was pants also.
The cheese was wonderful, one of the finest samples of cheese ive had ( And I aint a cheese fan at the best of times )

Next stop, was Burger bar for some grub. Must say, my burger was alright. Nothing spectacular, don’t see what all the fuss is about if I am honest. I’ve had better from Burger King.

Afterwards, we done a little shopping for munchies and shit, then walked back along to the Apartment to drop everything off. Stopping for a spliff of G13xAmnesia, before heading back out and along to Popeyes.

I ended up purchasing 2 grams of Pink Kush at €15 a gram. And as always, I am offered, and refuse, a pull on the peace pipe.
The Pink Kush
Image

Heavy, heavy, stony shit. Nice, herby- Kush flavour. Burned really well, and was as smooth on the Inhale as the exhale. We ended up spending a good couple of hours in here chonging down on our stashes. At the back of midnight, we stumbled along the road and back to the apartment, where we smoked on till the very early hours. Here are a few pics of the bong we bought, and some of the general chaos of the first night.

Wednesday, Oct 13th.

A wake and Bake of Cheese and Zero, Zero was how I started my first morning back in Amsterdam. I think my coughing woke Newbinho up some time after 9 AM.
By 10:30AM, we were leaving Fredericks having Hired a couple of bikes for 3 days.
From Fredericks, we made our way to the Flower Market, and to our favourite Breakfast spot. Studio 2 Lunchroom, for a nice Fry-up. It was a little bit busy there, and consequently, It took a little longer than I am used to before we got our grub. That said, the food was superb as usual, so no big deal.
Afterwards, we cycled around for a while, mostly around the canals of the Jordan area, till we got to the Albert Hein on Haarlemerdyke. We locked up the bikes and carried out our weekly shopping. Then we had to try and cycle home with shopping bags slung over the handlebars. Not as easy as it looks when the Locals do it.

After dropping off our shopping we hopped back on the bikes and rode along to Dampkring 2. I bought 2 grams of Sour Diesel at €10 a gram.
Image

A lovely example of Sour D, with added cottonmouth effect. After smoking a couple of spliffs, we headed back out on the bikes for another wee cruise. It was actually very fun watching Newbinho on a bike for the first time, I wonder if I looked like that in June, lol.
It was decided to go to Paradox, so that’s what we did. I got a €12 bag of Manali and a cup of tea.
Image

We chilled here for an hour or so, smoking from our stashes till we grew fidgety. By then, it was time for another cycle. This time, I followed Newbinho, and he led us right to the Grey Area.
Image

I bought 1g of Chiesel and 1g of Outdoor Kush ( €12:50 &11:50 respectfully.)
Image
Image

We never stopped even though there were seats available. Instead, we rode the short distance over to HomeGrown Fantasy and chilled outside in the Autumn sun. This time, I opt for a gram of Snow White ( I forget the price, I think, €9 a gram. )
Pics.

Image

Spliffs consumed, we rode along to the Apartment for our Tea.
Newbinho proceeded to cook a rather tasty Pasta Bolognese ( sp) which hit the spot just right. The whole time he was cooking, I was bonging the Chiesel ( awesome, awesome flavour from this sample ).

When our stomachs settled, we left for Popeyes again. I get a gram of Nep Polm. for €12:50
Image
Image

Again, I refuse the offer of the peace pipe ( it was harder this time, the chick offering was super Hot!! ) and take my seat upstairs, where you are Afforded a great view of the Harlemerstraat. I didn’t smoke the Polm here, Instead, I smoked some of the Snow White from HGF.
Next stop was the Rokery ( the one beside Bulldog and Doors ) where I settled on a lovely couple of buds of the Cali Haze for €21 for 2.3 grams.
Image
Image
This was one of the Tastiest Hazes I sampled this trip, Super smooth on the Inhale and exhale. Burned perfectly and Smelled like an Orange and Lemon Smoothie.
I took this pic from my seat in the conservatory.
Image

Eventually, we popped back around to Resin, where I asked yet again for the NYC Diesel ( No luck  ). Instead I just settle on a gram of AK47 for €8. I smoked the full gram, pure, in the shop. So I have no Photos of the bud. The weed looked superb. However, it turned out to be the worst weed I bought this trip. It wouldn’t stay lit, it tasted funny and the Ash burned very dark. Thankfully, I only bought a gram.

Last stop of the night was a near deserted Coffeeshop 137, where I bought 1 gram of Alegria for €10:60.
Image

Another of my favourite herbs on this trip. In my humble opinion, this herb was as close to perfection as I have experienced. It was very tasty and very strong. I think, judging by the way it burned, it must have had a nice, long cure before sale.

Spliffs done, we took the short walk back to the Apartment.
I fell asleep smoking an Alegria doobie at the Kitchen table. Woke up about 4 in the morning with a bloody sore neck.
Here is a couple of Stash shots

Day two, done.
