The folks who were in Boerjongens were friendly enough. The tender was hella highdarkglobe wrote:Brilliant read, and special thanks for the revue offf Boerjongens...i pla n on visiting there soon...wanna get some Chemdawg and White Choco...How did you get on with the local fellers ?![]()
A shame you missed Tweedy...next time ,turn right out of The Abba Hotel and take your first left and its down on yer right...its just a small avenue that runs down into the park...
The locals who we joined over at the benches just left us to our selfs. A couple of times they gave us the standard, local, look that said.
" Bloody hell, how much have you put in that spliff, check the smoke!! "
All good though.
And as for Tweedy, I aint giving up, I will find it!
Endure
Finally sat down and got around to reading this report with a big joint of SSH.
excellent report man...sounds like you had an awesome time and i think your writing style makes it sound even better!
Great pics especially the bud ones.
you've got me (and quite a few others by the look of it) booking another trip right now! I feel desperate to be back there after reading this.
Oh and the Random Picture Alerts made me laugh
are you enjoying your package from amsterdam?

Saturday, October 17th.
Saturday, was De Pijp day. After breakfast and bongs, we started the arduous walk down to Mellow Yellow, the perfect first stop on a de Pijp tour.
Since we had no bikes now, we got the Rickshaw, bike type thing guy to give us a lift. From Dam Square to Mellow Yellow cost €14 for Newbinho and I, but the Aussie Driver made me want to pay twice as mch. A very funny chap who had us in stiches for the whole ride.
Picture looking over his shoulder.

Only this time, I make the mistake of asking for some herb before inspecting it. I ended up with this gram of Super Silver haze for €10 a gram.

As you can see from the picture, the S.S.H was really, really poor. Tasted foul. I left newbinho to Finish the spliff. While I rolled up something a little more impressive from my stash.
Next we took the short walk down to the Albert Cup Market and meandered through the very crowded street. Newbinho bought a backpack so he could fit everything he bought for the week in it, because there was no way he would get it all in his original bag
. He ended up having to part with the princely sum of €5 for a perfectly fine backpack. Bargain.
Then we popped round to Katsu. I new I was gonna get a € 5 bag of Puntes Roja. I had been wanting to try it for ages, but there was always so many more things I wanted to try there first.
The Puntes Roja.

I smoked this later on that night, after my tea. It tasted perfectly fine, with a pleasant, Spicy taste. I found it gave me a mild stone. I dunno if it should stone me, but it did. Not like an L.A. Con or a Kush. But a stone none the less.
I also got 2 grams of So Gouda for €20.

A better one, taken in Papillion.

Now, this was nice. A very fruity cheese type taste. Perfect burn when smoked pure. I should have bought more.
Random picture of the counter at Katsu.

Next up, I wanted to take Newbinho to Papillion. Now, if you aint been, GO!
I think, in the interest of fairness, I should be honest, I think Papillion is my new favourite coffeeshop, therefore, my view is somewhat Bias.
Inside Papillion.

The reason I love the place, is that it is super clean, super comfy, super friendly and the hashish is off the hook. ( I have never bought any bud from there, YET!
)
In the past, I got the best Zero, Zero ive ever had, and this time, I got the Himalaya Power at € 9:50 a gram.
I think the picture says more than my vocabulary will allow.
Awesome, creamy smoke. Thick and smooth. A flavour that I have never experienced before. Definite, Sativa like high. Recommended.
Picture from Papillion’s window.

With sufficient buzzes, we set of on a very enjoyable walk around the area. Before long we were on the opposite side of the canal from Kabouter. I have never been in, so that’s where we went next.
I got 2 grams of Kabouter haze for € 10 a gram.

The picture may look good, but it doesn’t do it justice
. This weed literally sparkled in the light. I broke up some of it into my joint with my fingers, and it was raining off THC. The smoke was every bit as good. Alongside the Cali Haze from the Rokery, this was a standout Haze.
The bud tender in here was a very friendly guy. I couldn’t decide if he was Dutch or English, such was the ease in which he spoke to us and locals alike. When speakin English, he sounded like a Londoner and when Speaking Dutch, he sounded Dutch.
A couple of Pictures.

Upon leaving, we took the very long route. We walked up through Canals behind Mellow Yellow, till we reached Rembransplien. From there, we walked over the Bridge and had a wee wander through the Waterlooplien market. Newbinho bought 2 big Buddha statues for pennies.
A long walk back up towards the Apartment had us stood outside Picasso in no time. First time in here for me. It wont be the last. The tender was nice enough, some of the Patrons were a little strange though. I bought a gram of Kush. ( I forget the price )

A perfectly fine piece of ganja. Packed a heavy stone and a full, herby-THC like taste ( That’s the best way I can describe the Taste of any Kushes I have had. )
Now, if you walk along past Barney’s, maybe two Blocks, there is a pizza delivery place. That’s what we had for tea on Saturday. A ham and Pepperoni bad boy for around €10. Very nice too.
O.K. that takes us up to about 7 ish PM on Saturday night.
I HAVE NO MEMORY OF THE REST OF THAT NIGHT. I forgot to take my notepad out.
I know we tried in vain to get a seat in a few coffeeshops in the Centrum.
I know we were in Amnesia and Homegrown Fantasy
And I know I bought the White Choco from the Dampkring on the way home.
Pictures of the buds I bought.

And an extra special picture for all you hash lovers. Newbinho’s purchase of the Rifman Habibi.

I drool every time I look at this one.
Im slowly getting there folks, half a day left.

My opinion is, If its good, its good. Doesn't matter if its old or new.
And blues music, is as real as music gets.

If you ever get to the states, you need to check out st louis or Chicago. Both are heavy with blues music. Alot of famous blues musicians are from st louis. miles davis, johnny johnson, chuck berry (still alive), and the list goes on. Lots of blues clubs.Twichaldinho wrote:Yep, Delta-Acoustic, Chicago-Electric, Piano blues. Pre war, Post war. Modern blues.
