Zootman wrote:Has anyone tried the appel wiet at grasshopper? it was one of the eindhoven standouts from my last amsterdam trip in march/april (flew in via einhoven for £1 each way no taxes :-) simply because it tastes like apple soo much!! it tastes of apple tango, i've never tried a weed that carrys the flavour of its name so much...e.g chocolope, strawberry haze, etc thing is that its blatantly perfumed somehow cos its just tooo appley, once you spark a zoot the taste is just as strong as the smell which had me and a few mates puzzled to how they grow it or what they spray it with...high was not very memorable but you just wanted to keep toking on the J...

..very tasty and makes a wicked mixer
As stated elsewhere - I'm a regular visitor of Eindhoven - I don't like this. Hope this isn't a new trend coming up. I guess if weed would be legal the industry would jump on this train.
Whatever, when I first discovered their strawberry weed on the menu like one year ago I asked the female budtender about it. She told me that it's a similar procedure as with flavoured tobacco(no slices of fruits or something. It's an additive.).
As I'm only smoking pure this is not my scene  .
You're right its got an intense smell of apple and strawberry because of the additive(s).

i tried the apelwiet in the grasshopper august bank hol just gone. to be honest i prefer it to the strawberry or even the other fruit flavor which i think is pineapple. the apel weit has a nice flavour and has a sort of cider taste to it when burning. u should try the preroll there for that its only 3 or 4 euros

Gruis translates to coal dust by the way, always amused me that one.

actually the proportion of trichomes to plant material should be higher with shake, but the taste is sharp most of the time due to lots of leafs :/
