Marijuana seized at Amsterdam airport

The seizure in August was the first time marijuana was found by Schiphol airport authorities.
Hague – Around 1.4 tonnes of marijuana was found hidden in a consignment of aquarium pumps from Thailand at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, police said Friday.
The drugs find was made in late August but only made public now in order not to jeopardise the police investigation, said Robert van Kapel, an airport police spokesman.
Earlier this month police took two Dutch residents in their forties in for questioning.
The seizure brought the amount of marijuana found by airport authorities in recent weeks to over 2.5 tonnes. On 15 September, 1.2 tonnes of marijuana was also found in freight from Thailand.
"It is surprising, usually we discover heroin or cocaine hidden in clothes, coconuts... but never marijuana," added the spokesman.

Schiphol is such a big hub for connecting flights I'm not surprised, nothing to say it wasn't destined for elsewhere.

If it was the usual standard of thai weed i'd say the customs did most smokers a favour!!
BTW - how come I smoked the shwaggiest looking scrag-end buds in Thailand and tripped balls while I can put 3g of Amsterdam Thai in a J and just get a mildly pleasant stone?!!!

dude, thai is awesome, its a step back to the old style smoking. Good thai is hard to find, but good outdoor natural buds for me is a better smoke than the massed produced heavy stone hybrids flooding the scene these days.

I find a nice outdoor grown weed can be a lot more physcodelic than lamp grown hydro.

yep yep! was no problem since gapie guided us to it.....such a nice place and their outdoor-weed/hash is of great quality
