From our experience, we where not forced to stay, but naturally after walking around for awhile we enjoy a sitting down for a smoke. 2 of 3 people purchased a drink. Bought either 1 or 2 bags of their min. pre bagged gear.

Drink-less person headed to walk upstairs as he was closest the guy placed his arm across the door and said their is no service upstairs so you have to buy a drink down here.

Not realising how uncomfortable my friend felt, he in-fact wanted to leave instantly I found out later but we had purchased 2 drinks and wanted to sit.

Looking back should of sat outside and had him not buy a drink.

I have read about the ice hash people go for, i don't shop for ice hash, i prefer nice nuggets. So for my requirement it was not of standard, it was the attitude we didn't like, with buds which where average.

Rudeness is priceless, no need for it. End of from me.

Was here yesterday and bought a gram of kushadellic ice (55€/g). By far the best smoke of the trip, it's in another league to barneys royal jelly (same price). I'd smoked 3-4 drags and I already felt 'unsteady' from then on I had never been so stoned in my life!!!
Budtender was very moody, like he didn't wanna be there?! And like it was a chore to get me a gram of hash?! Still the quality of the ice was enough to say I will definitely be going back

the one on the Amstel can suck my cock and i never cared for the other one much either...only had one experience in each though so admittedly my opinion may be skewed.

the one on the Amstel only sells 2 grams, i asked for lower quantity and was denied.

the other one i went to during the cup in '02 and was not impressed, sorry.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I will say in august the guy in the Amstel shop was rude as he'll but the kushadellic ice was fantastic so I didn't care.
Went to the one on Thorbeckeplein on Friday. The guy there was very helpful. Told him what I wanted and he spent a while showing me a good few types of ice and hash. Ended up buying a gram of OG 18 Honey ice (€50/g) and Blackberry Ice (€45-50/g). Both excellent, the OG seems ether imo but both fantastic.
Also got a gram on Manala Cream for €14 I think. Really nice creamy hash. Clear high.

I remember my friend got half a gram of butter hash (same high prices as ice hash) back in Jan '10. Doubt they'll do it on the cheaper hashes.

I can confirm that as of last Monday Kali Mist was still on the Bushdoctor menu, didnt try it but it was definitely there.
Also to add - I purchased:
1g Gran Daddy Full Melt Butter (55e)- Dry hash, almost like unpressed crystals. Extreme body stone - the most extreme stone ever!
1g OG 18 Honeycomb (50e) - Typical Ice hash texture and taste. Very powerful
1g Sherezard (15e) - Very nice hash. Strong and tasty.

Love this place

I actually had the BBC back in October. I remeber it being good, like you say, but tbh it isn't even in the same league as the Gran Daddy, the OG Honeycomb or the Kushadellic. I have noticed that quality does vary, I've had what I'd class as super knock out Kushadellic which was a light grey, almost silver colour! and then Ive seen, and bought, it when it has been a standard dark hash colour. It was still good but not like when it was grey/silver.
Hope that was helpful

Was here on Monday with the intention of spending A LOT of money on Ice and Butter.
Instantly ordered 2g of Gran Daddy (as it is the grand daddy of all smokes imho) - smells toxic, my mate described it as crack in a joint - 10/10
OG Honeycomb - Looks, smells and tastes incredible, just a tiny notch down from the Gran Daddy - 9.5/10
Looked at the Kushadellic but didnt stand out against the other two.
I then wanted some 'normal' hash, the very friendly bud tender recommended Mexi Maroc. I took one look and sniff and was SOLD! I didnt try it until last night but OMFG!! it IS one of the best hashes i've ever had. 10/10

My mates bought a gram of the Chem Dawg butter which had a dark exterior but when split open the is a vivid lime green interior! very interesting....very tasty 9/10.

This is a coffeeshop with three levels, the first level having a tv, some seats and the bar where you order drugs and drinks. The staff were friendly enough to us, but we saw them be very impatient with some tourists that came in who had a lot of questions. There wasn’t a lot of room downstairs so we decided to make our way up the levels after purchasing from a drug menu that we felt offered quite a good range with fair value.

We also purchased a cappuccino for 2 Euros and while they didn’t have an abundance of drink varieties they did have a large number of different teas available. We proceeded to head up the steep stairs with me carefully balancing the cappuccino. We continued past the second level which offered some booth seating to the third level that was completely void of other customers. We were able to sit at a table by the window which offered a good view of the street and canal from the elevated vantage point. This in my option, was one of the few positive things about the shop. The décor was basically random graffiti and artwork as well as papers with names, dates, etc. stuck to the walls. It gave the place a grimy feel sort of like being in a toilet and the lack of cleanliness didn’t help with this at all...
