Now; please understand before I say this that I love Amsterdam. I have never stepped a foot on Amsterdam soil and that's right, I love it. The time I am spending for my trip in 1 year and the money I am saving. It has changed my life in a very positive way. I have quit smoking so I could go to the place we like to call the city of tolerance. But, i'll be honest with most of you, Amsterdam tolerance is about to leave the building, and never come back. All of us are seeing what the current dutch goverment is trying to do. Ruin the heart of Amsterdam. Do you honestly think there going to let anybody get in there way? I believe coffeeshops will be run with memberships only sometime soon and theres really nothing us looking in can do about it. Like I said, I have a love for Amsterdam that I can not explain to you. But your starting to see patterns that maybe this is the last few years this weed wonderland will counite to exsist.
And 43 coffeeshops closing because of being to close to schools. Utter bullshit!!!
Comment me plz, tell me that you think im wrong. Please do.

My first trip abroad was to Amsterdam (13ish years ago), i have never been to any other place abroad as i seem to have got stuck in transit between Birmingham and Amsterdam.
I have been sort of thinking what i will do when this happens and it dawned on me that maybe finally i will get to see other places in the world. Also i know i can get just as if not more wrecked at home than on any Dam bud. Dont get me wrong, i love Amsterdam and love toking up on variety but for me without the CS the tourist option does not appeal to me. Maybe its coz i have done most of the tourist options more than once already.
I agree we should enjoy as much as possible whilst we still can and i will.
Looks like 420 will be at Bonglords house in a few years

your wrong, this rumour has been going around since the coffeeshops started. Amsterdam takes in way too much money to shut down all coffeeshops.

Hello friend, let me ask you a question. You have never been to Amsterdam, don't read Dutch, or have any understanding of the local politics? But you know what is best for Amsterdam?
All I can say is WOW!
Weed is great, its nice for the local economy but it is not why this city exists. This city is called home by its residents, not tourists.
The coffeeshop scene is not going anywhere. If you have a problem with the closing of the shops along the border, complain to Brussels, Paris and Berlin, as their pressure on NL is the problem.
I know you mean well, but you sound a bit off to think you understand a place you have never even set foot in. Peace

If you love it now, just wait until you actually get there.
The coffeeshops will be awaiting you, happy trails.
Peace,

whitesox: i know that love, we all feel it too! it will only be magnified a hundredfold when you actually get there. The c/s scene seems stable at the moment but who knows what could happen in the future so
I agree we should enjoy as much as possible whilst we still can and i will.
