The elusive Greenhouse (91 Tolstraat)

Post by DeathRowRecords »

All,

In August I couldn't find this place....I've checked on Google maps Street View and I'm still none the wiser. The appearance of the street is exactly as I remember it in August. If you zoom in you can see 89 Tolstraat on the right of the street, and as in August the place that should be 91 has the shutters down.

Could anyone with a better knowledge of the area tell me where I'm going wrong?! Is there even a chance that this coffeeshop has closed? Has anyone been there recently?

I'm determined to find the place in a fortnight's time for trip 2....with your help!

Thanks

Try these mate, might work

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Tolstraat+91+Amsterdam+nl
Thats the google map (actually has Greenhouse on it)

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/GreenHouseT.html
The Greenhouse Tolstraat page from ACD

Get to the Cross roads and go south, Greenhouse Tolstraat is just up there on the left, the address that comes up on google is 114 or 116 Tolstraat

Hope you find it, i will be going to have a look for it on my next trip as i've never been there!!!

Hey liquidSwords, great work, I'm blown away that the place exists! good eyes mate, you can totally see the Greenhouse & the no. 91. I guess Dutch street numbers do make sense after all...

At the same time, it's gutting to see that it was over the road to where we searched originally!

Will find it now no problem at all, thanks - hope you make it there soon yourself bro.

stuart, you're not wrong! Not embarrassed to admit I had a 'mare finding Greenhouse. Also struggled with Dampkring (the Handboogstraat shop), but Dampkring 2 was a good substitute!

lS - the tragedy is that we didn't walk past it once! I was convinced from the street numbers that it was across the street - I didn't think for a minute that Tolstraat continued across the way.
