blaire, this is like your eighth thread in about 6 weeks asking pretty much the same question, 'what weed should I buy'.
'top 3 hazes'
'what's the best tasting'
'best value smoke??
'best daytime smoke? PLS REPLY ALL OF YOU
'Chocolope? or something new to recommend?'
'Best buds? for 1) laughing 2) day time 3) movies'
'Newbie! Need good recommendations!'
'Nov smoke list- PLS HELP EDIT!'
'what you should buy' is all down to personal taste & what batches are good at the moment in which coffeeshops. So don't set in stone what you're gonna buy too firmly. Use your eyes & nose whilst you're out there. I don't wanna read a trip report in a couple weeks time that says 'I bort everything u guyz recommened and it suxx'

Dude we can you all the advice you want, but you'll get there smoke your first joint and all your plans will go to shit. When buying weed just use your senses, if it smells/looks nice buy it and smoke it. Dont make to many plans, amsterdams supposed to be a beautiful chaos, dont try and organise it so much man.

Awww... and listed the coffeeshops all in alphabetical order

, well except 1 mistake where Greenhouse should be above HGF
Anyways, the only plan you should make, and maybe the following thread should help is :-, which coffeeshop should i hit FIRST
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... coffeeshop
After the 1st coffeeshop, your plans will decend into kaos

Wise words above, dude the whole point of Dam isnt to go with a list of things that dictates your whole journey and experience, its not like going to New York for jeans and trainers, its a mad bad city full of crazy things that only happen when you allow yourself to go with the flow and deviate off the beaten track. Forget taking your friends round on a preaaranged march to get x,y, z, buds. Let your plans descend into chaos as the buds take over. Believe us all that this will be more fun and you will have actual real EXPERIENCES and not be on a boring planned out shopping trip. If you succeed in getting anything on your list then pat yourself on the back when you get home, but pls try and be spontaneous, pretty pls..

hey guys, i do know what youre saying and i know why. thing is, i sorta do need to pick up a shopping list as some of these friends are going to be living in europe for a few months and the list isnt really FOR the time in amsterdam, its for after, which is why i asked for all your advice bc we wont have the chance to sample everything and stock up....you know?
its going to be my 3rd time in Dam and you're all right, after the first smoke everything goes out the window, I have no problem with that bc at the end of the day, baked it baked no matter what particular strain, but like I said..the importance of the list is for after amsterdam, and we didnt want to just buy whatever and regret it later on...
thanks for your comments everyone, big help

puffpuffgive-im flatterd that you have paid attention to all my posts and even bothered looking them all up.
like i said above, each time i went was just to smoke and have fun, THIS time however bc of some of my friends, the purpose is also to have a good supply for their travels as well, hence the 'structured approach'.
but thanks everyone for their comments these past weeks...we just didnt want to buy whatever was recommended on the spot and wanted to use all your experiences to have a good idea...

Fair enough, lectures over, respect. And to be honest having droned on about spontaniety, this year for the first time ever over a 25 year span I actually took a bleedin map and used it, and on it I had written in tiny black writing what each CS specialised in from a hash point of view, very sad I know! And of course as usual I never got to see more than 10% of my intended destinations, the madness started as soon as I left mellow yellow, which just happened to be at the end of the street to my apartment (very nice for 2 peeps, 110e a night total), pm me if you want the contact details anyone

I personaly recommend skipping DURBAN POISON from HGF. The last one I had, was really not worth the money. It´s supposed to be an African outdoor weed that kicks the shit out of you, but... nothing happend!
Ask the budtender twice before trying it.
When you´re in the Rokerij, I would definitely recommend BRAINSTORM HAZE if it´s on the menu... I payed 10,50/g for it and it was awesome stuff!
It is not the strongest Haze I got so far but the FX were very unique and it tasted very good - smooth and fresh.
For me definitely a must try!
And:
Yes, the others are right: making a list isn´t nescessary, but I always do make "my" list and try to score every strain I chosed to... It´s part of the mental "preparation"

Of course I never scored all strains on the list...
Have a good time!

last time i had the maps and the menus on my ipod. had planned what to buy and had calculated the budget in advance. i hit every shop i wanted and only missed out like 2 strains, getting about 50 in total

Sage advice from all! I totally agree re navigation assistance tho! - after almost 20 years coming to Amsterdam i still lose my bearings all the time! Started taking my car gps in my day pack with all coffeeshops entered as 'favourites' a couple a trips ago and find it invaluable when fully baked to be able to simply dial in a name and then follow the red arrow!
Re 'which strains from where' you've pretty much listed the best places - it remains to be seen what looks good on the day...
Best single resource by a long way is Twichaldinho's recent report. Period.
Good luck and enjoy!

I really dont think we should be discouraging anyone from posting here, especially someone so enthusiastic. BlaireD may be going for a little more detail than most of us prefer, hes not asking the same question over and over again. Hes obviously done some reading and research here and has asked some very general and very specific questions. He wants to get current and accurate info as well as your opinions on his picks. Id also point out he has started more than 1 topic are getting many positive posts. BlaireD I wish i had some information that would help you on your trip but glad youre taking advantage of the forums. Cant wait for a trip report.

Fair point man
However the question has been basically answered before.
My advice stands, dont try to organise yourself in amsterdam. You'll have a worse time rushing from place to place, rather than actually taking time out to enjoy themselves.
