Oh wow yeah, I'm really feeling the difference in stone between the White Widow and the SSH. It's way easier to type right now than it was with the White Widow. I'm seeing a lot of colours. That's awesome. Ok it's getting pretty hard now, LOTS of colours.
The real difference is that this SSH gives you a strong high, but only in your head. While White Widow makes your body feel stoned instead. Rhymes too!

may i suggest silver haze?mark the martian wrote:Ok, I've been smoking a White Widow for weeks and weeks. How about soon I go and try something super Sativa-ish.
if you can't find silver haze, then may i suggest amnesia haze?mark the martian wrote:Thanks for the couple of recommendations, but anyone have a strain that they feel is a definitive 'sativa' strain?
definitely try super silver haze as well, it's a close relative of amnesia hazemark the martian wrote:Maybe I shall take metal4mullets' advice and go for a Haze? There's a nice looking 8 Euro SS haze at my local
this is a good suggestion, silver pearl is a real knock-out and worth a try as metal4mullets recommendsmetal4mullets wrote:Personally, I can attest to Silver Pearl's potency and effect...which can be found at Homegrown Fantasy. Give it a shot and let us know what you think![]()
basjoe and green place and mellow yellow and cafe 420 (de kuil) are good sources of silver haze, amnesia haze and super silver haze

When in Amsterdam, sometimes we have just sativa days and indica days which helps identify what's what.
The confusing thing is, whilst a sativa may be buzzy, if left to flower a little longer it becomes more stoney- could be compared to indica in the way you feel the effects. Different phenotypes of the same strains can also differ widely in effects. Even hash made from certain strains seem to affect me differently in hash form to the bud it was created from.
I agree that to know a strain of weed you have to 'live' with the weed. To smoke it in various different scenarios to establish it's true identity.
My preference for winter evenings is a nice stoney indica to help me unwind after work, whilst a clean sativa can energise me during the day (on the weekend) or for a chatty evening with friends.
To find what you really like takes time but once you start getting into genetics you want to try everything!
As I always say, variety is the spice of life!

sure the pure sativas are expensive, but they are worth to at least try them once. with that you will know how it is to be high on weed
a cheaper solution would be the mexican haze from dampkring. as far as i know it is a 100% sativa too. i loved to vape it and it really lifts you up. with that experience and knowledge you will find it way more easy to recognize what effects are caused by which parts of any hybrids you smoke.
i personally love the chocolope haze from rokerij and it is only 9€ a g!!!

yes well putcolinzeal wrote:To my mind it is also a little about teaching your mind the necessary vocabulary to describe the various sensations, feelings, flavours etc. I mean you may have smoked much marvellous weed in your time but if you have never attempted to describe it to someone (or even yourself) it may not be such an easy task. A person can smoke different weeds and know which they enjoyed most without necessarily having the ability to describe why very well.
as an great example of writing about weed may i suggest the travelogue Softening the Crash Landing from geekymonkey, this report is filled with wonderful descriptions of what was being smoked, as just one example the following sentence appears in the first page of the report:
"He immediately pulled out the Red Dragon (13 E/g). 100% Bio/ organic, and it smelled like heaven in a pine forest."
based on that alone i would go into that shop immediately and buy some red dragon just to smell it and be in heaven in a pine forest ... magic!
imo this report has greatly increased the vocabulary of weed description and sets a high standard

After trying the SS Haze properly I can clearly feel a difference in the stone. The haze makes me see more colours, and lets me still walk around and function. While White Widow just makes me 'stoned' in what I consider to be a more traditional way. Couch locking kind of thing.
So for my next 'assignment' I want to try something super super Indica-ish. More so than the reaosnably inexpensive White Widow I've been smoking. Thinking of picking it up today, where to and what strain would you guys recommend?

Hill St Blues was our 1st stop on our 1st visit to Dam - we got the Hill St Special at 9E/g as they were out of Bubblegum.
I was disappointed, the weed was the driest of the trip, and to be honest I've had stronger back home regularly. Maybe a bad batch, but it was the worst smoke we had in 4 days.
