I'm an old timer that always had brass, wood or stone pipes in the past.
I've got a small glass spoon pipe that I really like except for one thing. I can't seem to get a screen (gauze) to stay inserted in the bowl. The lack of friction because of the smoothness of the glass prevents the screen from staying in the bowl.
Any suggestions for getting the screen stay in the bowl would be most appreciated.

Geez...must be small
I'm assuming you're using it for hash as you could easily use a tiny bit of bud stem to create a bridge across the hole (instead of a screen) if you're smoking weed through it.
The only thing I can suggest for the screen is to try and trim it down to size with a pair of sharp scissors. Also, you can try using a pointed (yet dull) object like a pen-tip and push the screen down (and around) on top of it creating a little "tent". Then stick the pointed "tent" end down in to the hole to plug it, so to speak.
If that doesn't work grab a larger spoon
