THE PROBLEM - used my shiny new IOLITE VAPORIZER several times, it works fine I think, but Im simply not getting very stoned, I and my mate who just bought one each both have the same experience, its like taking tiny little puffs of a weak joint, and the high is very short lived. We are using dry strong buds which in a joint wipe the floor with us (Chiesel), so thats not the problem. When I exhale smoke/vapour is coming out so I think im inhaling fine, its just that its so weak and is taking all night to get a very mild hit. Plus I hate having to inhale and inhale and suck the hot air just to get a small buzz. What am I doing wrong, or is this thing it more for only occasional puffers who would be less demanding?
throw it away..bad design..buy a supervapzilla and ill never hear a complaint again...best to spend yer hard earned money on a proven dependable,non butane using product...they couldnt get that thing working right at last years cup...
I have one of these, only use it when i have to when im out as i have a volcano at home.
I felt exactly the same when i bought one, i thought is this it???? No good, but you have to learn how to use it properly. First of all make sure the condenser is removed, the dryer the weed the better, make sure its grinded up propa and also give it a grind up again you will find this makes the hits a lot better. I think you need to get used to the time it takes to get a propa hit, but trust me the hits come and i remember being way more stoned than any joint. Remember to use long smooth inhalation technique it does take about 10 mins to really get this thing heated up where i believe it stays at 190c, but switch it off and on again to reheat the pin and its even better. Try a vapor forum called Fuck combustion there is a very large thread about the iolite with the makers also answering some questions. Im not to keen on the thread itself as it goes way off topic and drags on a bit so be warned.

thanks so much for the advice, I will try again as you describe and seek out the website thread for more advice. As you are the second person who says that they get a better hit than a joint if you get it right with one of these Im inclined to keep trying, Ill keep you informed, cheers

Recently got mine. Tried various ways to use it but the above is absolutely the best way i found.
