No, not right now. I can't remember the two I applied for, I just saw them while walking around but it was a few months back. If I see anymore I'll give you a heads up! :)

Yer right mate, I'm not. I had a lurk when you guys were talkin to TD in the xbox thread and thought a wee bit of temporary false suspicion might be good for a laff.

Anyway, while yep, it is cheap market research...it's also risky as yer place of employment can come under scrutiny because of things you say on the internet. Which is fine for the 'run of the mill' stuff about Amsterdam and coffeeshops, but not so fine when it comes to individuals, cliques, politics and religion etc. Where, because somebody doesn't like your 'opinion', it can have a negative effect on the place you work. Personally, I come on here for my own enjoyment, rather than promotion and try to just 'respond' to anything that has directly to do with 't Nes. At first I did have the Stella Blue Iso joint for a Spok salute thing goin, but again that was one stoner wanting to have a laff at another stoner, not to increase business. The 420 comes to work mainly because Lemming has been coming here long before I was a forum member. Mr Hunter is keeping himself professional which is good if yer clearly promoting yer business...and in my view, nothing wrong with it. But, I think he'll find this harder to do the more of you guys he actually meets in real life. The dude from the Old Church on the other hand, totally fukt it. People who were pissed off at his work are now pissed off at him more. Like I say, it's risky. Having such a low tolerance for bullshit means I've had death threats from anonymous tossers on an internet site, to the point I've obviously been stalked by a couple. Something, eveybody can do without. However, fuk them, I stand by everything I say on here...I have to, cos unlike most on here anonyimity is a luxury I no longer have. Mind you, despite the nutters, it hasn't been a bad thing as most of the people that I've met from ACD have been well worth it. :D

There's always jobs goin in some coffeeshop, Dampkring, Rokerij and non centurm will generally want fluent Dutch, but most of the rest aren't bothered. Staff changes in Amsterdam happen often and not many see their 3rd and permanent contract, even when they're 'good'. Plus, while it might sound like an awesome idea to work in a coffeeshop, not all coffeeshops are good to work in. Example. The owner comes in with the restock, hands you a bag of haze, it's shit haze......you know it and he knows it, but it's you that has to stand there and convince the customers otherwise. The question is...are you a stoner, or are ya gonna do yer job?.

Wages?. Typical bar work here ranges somewhere between 6.50 to 9 per hour. A coffeeshop 7 to 11. Depending on who you are and where yer working. Getting a white contract will also depend on that too.
