Has anyone asked to see a strain and had the budtender react weirdly. You know, as if you've insulted them by implying that some of their weed is not super fresh?
When the budtender shows you the container with the weed...

Oh, of course. It happened to us a few times in August. The person who looked the most annoyed/bothered was the female budtender at Ben. She heaved a big sigh and curled her lips down in to a frown/sneer. We promptly said, "Thank you for your time.", and took a walk over to Basjoe instead. To be fair, it was during a touristy/busy time but we were honestly as polite and as pleasant as one could be *shrug*.mark the martian wrote:Has anyone asked to see a strain and had the budtender react weirdly. As I said before, though...don't be afraid to ask. It's your hard-earned money that is being spent and there is nothing wrong with checking quality.

I always ask to look before i buy, some places dont mind & some get a bit funny, perhaps coz im not a local....dunno.
I remember stopping at some turkish run one in some forgotten place, they were really abrupt and asked to see my passport before they served me, worth it though..... the white widow they sold me was lush.

As you are looking at and smelling the bucket of grass on offer, also be looking for brown or white mold on the plant matter. This is not stuff you want to be smoking. I went into a shop, the first day of the CC and asked to see xxx, which was their CC entry, I bought a few grams and as I was breaking it up with my fingers I noticed an excessive amount of "white". Upon closer inspection, it was either white powdery mildew or mold. I returned the few grams to the bud tender and got my money back. Greed has definitely taken over at some cs's, so watch carefully what you buy. Pot Peace.

Why wont you say what coffeeshop and what weed it was, I thought forums were all about sharing infomation good and bad, you really should name & shame them or not bother saying anything.Puffin13 wrote:As you are looking at and smelling the bucket of grass on offer, also be looking for brown or white mold on the plant matter. I think Twich gets my point and the point being, be aware when you go to a coffeeshop (or anywhere else for that matter) to make your purchase. Inspect the weed carefully. Cannabis dealing is big business and some of the people dealing it dont care about your health or how much money you spend to acquire your herb.Twichaldinho wrote:Surely just reminding folks to take care when buying there cannabis is a good thing. I dont feel a name and shame is required.
Just be alert is all
What do people learn if they know the name of the shop? It could be a one time thing. (I confronted the dealer after I had observed the mold & he was as surprised to see the mold as I was. I dont believe it was intentional). If you know the name of the shop; then what? You will never go to that shop again and ditch that shop to everyone you speak to because of one incident that you heard about? I personally feel that it is better for a person to know that things like this can happen, to educate yourselves and be more aware when you are making your purchases because not everyone has your best interests at heart.
Peace & smoke safe.

I do not understand where the attitude is coming from, Boner but if you dont like what I post, there is a simple solution: don't read them.Boner wrote:I really hope next time you have something positive to say about a coffeeshop or the weed it sells you dont name either.
