From what I've learned on the board, simply walking through the door of The Grasshopper would qualify as a worst experience.

@mark the martian......Its all about the Cash. Big Event, Celebs, tons of Amateur nite tourists, Hotels really rake in, likely raising rates, and of course the Coffeeshops and restaurants reap huge profits. I am also sure that High Times makes a buttload of cash for it too.

Not my cup of tea. I really enjoyed last January....not empty, but not crowded....similar to how when I used to drink, Id never go out for New Year's....the ultimate amateur nite.

One of the only places they could hold such an event within the law is clearly the Netherlands. I cannot imagine them being able to run a public event, sell tickets, advertise etc in the states without intervention from the law. (in the past anyway, perhaps nowadays they could do a High Time's Medical Cup in one of the happier states ;))
We have the Portland Hempstalk Festival here in Oregon! Not quite the cannabis cup yet but we're getting there. Portland recently opened its first cannabis cafe for medical marijuana card holders as well.

What problems do you have to have to become a medicinal user?

It varies quite a bit, but "severe pain" is one pretty much anyone could qualify for. I suggest checking out this link:

It sounds like quite a good thing going on there if you can pass as requiring it!
