You're right there, I couldnt remember the genetics of Darkstar and couldnt think of another word to describe the smell, I guess in that respect it did have a different smell to other strains, it just wasnt as stinky as it should have been,[/quote]

I thought Darkstar was Purple Kush x Mazir-I-Sharif? if so it is not a haze and should probably be a strong indica stone.

I had some beautifully grown Mazir-I-Sharif this time last year it was amazing. Great warm even body stone. Purple Kush is a classic too, although I have to leave it for later in the evening when I have it cos its a planter haha

the darkstar is a cross purple wreck x mazir i sharif its got a lovley flavor and high you just gotta find the right sample!
at the min bagheera+stones corner, have the nicest i ave seen followed by betty boo then hunters(which is bit shit i thought)

according to the TH Seeds website it is Purple Kush x Mazar i-Sharif......

If it's OG Kush you're expecting to taste there's probably a reason. Purple Kush is of no relation to OG Kush and actually tastes like grapes. The genetic makeup of Purple Kush is Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani. Both of which are land races from the Hindu Kush mountain area of Afghanistan. So Darkstar is really just a cross of three Afghani land races.
