Medical Marijuana in Michigan US
Check out this news story in the New York Times about medical marijuana in the US state of Michigan. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/29/educa ... ACjMoRi1Dw.
Slowly, slowly.
Maybe before I die.
I've been saying they're going to legalize it since about 1961.
Could I actually live to see it ?
Will I be able to stick up my arthritic, bent middle finger and say we finally stuck it to the man ??
( It's on the ballot here in Az. again in 2010 )

Right now they're just referring to Medical Marijuana.
If I remember correctly the laws in the Netherlands regarding marijuana are also rather hazy ( pun intended )
Also check out this link.
I may have already posted it, but this will show you the states that have state legal clinics/dispensaries that the feds tend to leave alone as long as they follow the state regs.

Honsetly Twitch, i think it will be happening in the next few years in the states. In many a year when we're all gone they'll look back at the generations that suffered under the prohibition and wonder how they dealt with it.Twitch wrote:Slowly, slowly.

They'll look at the 60's and point to that as the catalyst.

They have been instrumental in making medical marijuana legal in 15 states and decriminalizing it in I believe 13 states.

Federal vs.state laws
The Obama administration has said it will stop the persecution of medical marijuana growers and providers. This, of course, has the fascist puritans all in a bother.
Re: Federal vs.state laws
As I have been looking to move, at least part time for now, to California, I have been talking to some people on forums in California who are patients.SeniorHippies wrote:The Obama administration has said it will stop the persecution of medical marijuana growers and providers. They have told me that since Obama's orders to stop the persecution the clinics that follow the rules have basically been left alone.
Los Angels is considering putting a cap on the amount of clinics as they are popping up all over the place.

I have not been this exiceted about the possable positive change to the marijuana laws in the USA since the Carter adminastration. Each election cycle there are more and more laws and prop. in favor of WEED. If your are from the USA please support:
