Advice in De Pijp

Post by MikeD. »

Staying in DePijp this May on Gerard Doustraat. I am well aware of Katsu (the reason my wife and I are staying in this location) and Carmona from our last trip. This trip, I really want to make trips to Yo-Yo and DeGraal. Are there any other hidden gems down in this area? I loved the first trip to Amsterdam last spring, but quickly grew tired of the Centrum area. Obviously there are many quality shops there, but the local vibe of the Albert Cup area was what we found most relaxing. Thanks for any suggestions you may have. I have gotten many great suggestions for the last trip from people like SoulRider and GeoffK. If any of you are in the area, I would love to repay the favor with a nice fat joint and cup of coffee!! (This offer is not limited to the two I mentioned, but rather any who enjoy good company and good smoke!!)

Thanks for the shout out Mike. Wish I could take you up on that kind offer. I'm looking to be a proud pappa this spring, so Amsterdam will be off my trip list for a while. After reading Twichaldinho's last two reports I'd give Papillon a visit. Also it sounds like Biij might have some nice grass at good prices. Have fun.

That's hysterical, I knew it wouldn't take long for you to reply. Hope all is well and congrats in advance on the baby! Please remember that if you are ever in the Chicago area, to let me know!

in addition to katsu, de graal, carmona and yo-yo, acd members have also had good things to say about Club Media and Papillon

As Geoff Said, tram 6 or 24, or you could walk it, you could stop off at Mellow Yellow and The Heineken Brewery on the way :-)
