I agree actually, an acclimatised outdoor UK grown bud grown in a hot year or for example high grade jamaican outdoor weed share something that no indoor grown seems to, a higher range of THC, CBN and CBD psychoactive compounds. Indoor grown weed is almost all THC, mostly with only very trace levels of CBN and CBD (admittedly the THC is at very high levels, far higher than nature would provide), and this is why I prefer the full more spiritual and uplifting buzz of a great outdoor weed. Ive had some natural buds in Nepal and India that are so trippy even the come-down would be like the best bit of a Amnesia Haze buzz!

man, I would pay every price for something nice from Thailand!
whenever the dutch outdoor-season starts I love buying it. its cheaper, its more natural and in some way it definitely is stronger than indoor, like you said, its this trip it gives you, without messing your head too much

Funnily enough twice i found very good thai this october in Dam but it was in both cases mis-labled as Super Jamaican, which it wasnt. It was fat brown buds, sticky and moist with that very distinctive Thai aroma, like malted whisky almost...I had it every morning for my starter of the day, lush. Got it from Katsu. Couldnt be bothered to ask why they sell thai as jamaican as liked it so much there and everything else was great in there.

I got some Thai at Goa, I think. Pretty much looked like what I got in Thailand except not as sticky.
On the other hand, it doesn't feel as good as when you trade a handful for a beer with a cool thai guy.
Think I'm gonna have to try that one from Katsu though.

From my admittedly brief observations, the basic thai in dam is pretty similar if not identical to the red/yellow/green thai we are offered in the uk nowadays - compressed and dries out in no time, in other words very low grade thai. The 'Super Thai' should be more like you and I describe, proper buds that are less compressed and moist (sticky moist not damp) and the hit is twice as strong as the compressed shit, and twice as uplifting id say. Let me know how you rate it if you get there..
Ive read here elsewhere someone noticing the coffee shops are quite liberal with their geographical definitions when it comes to foreign weed. For all i know, Katsu (god I miss that place) had just put the wrong buds in the wrong bag that day, but I somehow doubt that. There is a world of difference betwen the look, smell and buzz of jamaican and thai weeds so there is no mistaking the two of them if you have eyes, nose and a stoned brain

nothing like a juicy dope debate for the day.....I cant see what you say unless you are talking about growing the exact same seeds indoors and outdoors and the strain is an indoor one. Every breakdown ive ever seen says the same, indoor grown weed is ultra low CBN/CBD levels, with increased THC. The combination of all three is a hit/buzz that is quite different to any indoor weed ive ever smoked and it is why us older gits harp on about why we still prefer great outdoor weed. Are you talking abot an indoor strain you have grown outdoors or an outdoor strain that youve put under lights, that might explain it if you see what I mean???

no ive only played with the indoor/outdoor advertised strains...indoor explodes outside and is exactly the same..outdoor inside is tricky and not so easy but its the same smoke itell ya.....ill try to think of a way to prove it but im not that smart

I think thats the answer, I think that the indoor strain seeds are hybrids, cross breeds etc, and are by defintion bred as THC rich and low CBN etc, and therefore I suspect that growing the same seed in the sun is still working with the same basic qualities. The only way to settle this I suspect is in the name of science if you can be bothered one year in your superior climate is grow from proper aclimatised outdoor-only seeds, or some seeds you have taken from some good jamaican/mexican, and compare that with an indoor strain. I would be amazed if you thought they had the same type of buzz (not just strength). There are worse things that people have to do in the name of science, hard life isnt it!

Would love to see you source one of these "breakdowns". Sounds like you completely pulled it out of your ass. I'm fairly certain than THC, CBN, and CBD levels are all genetic and has nothing to do with where the plant is grown. If you let a plant mature too long THC starts to degrade and CBN/CBD levels rise, giving you a more narcotic or dreamy high as you describe.

Im of the view that allowing things to grow in their natural way without human invention results in the best product. The arrogance of humans thinking they can improve on nature without consequence amazes me
