If the object of the event is to pick the best coffeeshop, why not make it the ACD Coffeeshop of the Year. Keep it simple I say, I'll volunteer some time and design anything we need. Either PM me or leave request in this thread.

can't we just say the c/s that gets the most people passed out or crawling is the winner....it's not serious then and we all have a good laugh....add points for dribbling,slurring and loss off coordination....have points deducted for shitty attitude/weed/having the strain they want rid of pushed.....best coffee?...best cat?....shiniest shithouse?.....bonus round for most nutcases (members not counted).........cheap trophy?...plastic ganja leaf sprayed gold?with acd on it maybe....i write all this cos i won't remember it tomorrow.....not a race,not the be all and end all....just lots of us having fun and doing what we all enjoy........going back to to the name..ACD Tour, or ACDamaged? i dunno i'm wasted

Ah yes there is an element of confusion here I think, but easily solved.
The main event I think is to visit an agreed list of Coffee Shops per day, and, trying to put all personal predjudice and pre-conceptions aside pick the ones that do the business during our visits. Product, Service, Quality of Drinks and Munchies available, Music, Ambience etc.
LATER, after that, possibly when us older ones and those of a nervous disposition have been sent home the participants will then be invited/encouraged to engage in some Championship Bhong to Bhong Combat if thats their thing.
Thats basic, I cant do detail. Also it solves the generation gap thing. Its great to see the youngsters have a good kick around. but at my age, foolish to join them

Cool!.

So am I right in thinking that it starts on 4.20 (20.04.10) and goes on for 3 days and finishes on 4.23.10 (23.04.10) or starts on 04.17.10 ( 17.04.10) finishes on 4.20 and thats when we give the award/prize out.

Just trying to organise my holiday schedule for next year.

i like the idea that every dribble gets a point and i def prefer ACDamaged title.

erm, I dont think this will really help to make a good cup.

if in those 3 days some shops have good batches and others bad ones, then it doesnt say those are best/worst.....

I think the better way would be a 1-year-cup......means we do a standardisized data-sheet where you give points for the mentioned things like bud/hash,service etc.
this sheet is being implemented on this site and you can only use it when registered here, so we make sure every participant only votes once a month/week/whatever

at the end of a year we calculate the top shop and give it a price (something like a cup/label he can put into his shop so people see he has been consistenly rated in the whole of a year

I like the idea of bong championships.

Reminds me of my 22nd b-day years ago...last stoner standing took the prize. Why not a title for the top stoner? A group of members go on an all day crawl burning through the buds like a pack of fiends until a winner is determined. If you nod off or something, you are DQed. I'd try it if I could be in the Dam come 4/20. Imagine someone like stuart1976 getting the title of "420 Pro Bud Smoker" underneath their avatar. Could be an entertaining contest for those in involved.

a bong competition? im drooling aready. ran out of black back on green again (nothing special)now i have a clear head im more up for a laugh and a smoke and chat and a smoke. love the idea of a cup but a laid back one. ill be there on my own i think, will have to have a good old smoke cisco and you too slisk250 well anyone really

Well shody that sounds like a competition for residents and frequent flyers, but most people only manage a limited amount of visits. It will be just a bit of fun for a couple of days. And if any shop has duff gear on the day, well they should have sent it back and taken it off the menu until they got some good stuff, they do after all charge top dollar.
Well Mellow Yellow is one of the reasonably priced shops shody so I also will be sad if its not one of those chosen, and if it is they better have some good Super Silver and/or Amnesia, in which case my impartiality will be sorely tested.

I know that mate, kicking a few ideas around is good. I cant get quite say Total Stone and Standardised Data Sheet in the same sentence though, if ya know what I mean.
